What do you dislike about the new update?
The core gameplay remains incredibly enjoyable, and the long-awaited update has finally arrived. Are there any newly introduced elements causing concerns, or are there any pre-existing issues that still persist?

The lack of restart button.
Force to sit on a loading screen. (10 sc to launch + 10 sc in the van)
The fact than the mission selected is not selected anymore when you die. So, you need to go take it again ....
The fact than you can't skip the scoreboard at the end.
The lack of bbgun weapons (there is only a shotgun) in a game where you are suppose to take suspect in custody to get S.

It is still pretty difficult to know if you are missing an evidence. Some guns are hard to find on the ground. Will be great to be able to check the scoreboard while playing. Because, the tablet don't show everything.

Game modes are now tied to a level & cannot change them

I dislike they removed all mission mode options from early access version. There is no longer any Barricaded Suspects, Hostage Rescue, Bomb Threat etc........ instead its 12 scripted missions with zero replayability.

Still no helmet cam controls (like in SWAT 3/4), meaning there's still no way to split up your squad and command them "remotely."

Kind of annoys me that the game file is so large and theres all this attention to detail in the environments/textures/graphics but in campaign mode theres only like 12 or whatever playable characters and theres like two of every character model. Wouldnt have taken long to just minorly altered the appearance to make each character unique. Even ghost recon that came out in 2000 achieved this.

Also i dont understand why the eye relief for aiming through optics is so far away from the optic itself. The POV is like your eye is resting on the back of the buttstock. Unless im missing something

It's already been mentioned but it's worth saying again. Performance and optimization have taken a huge downturn for me no matter the settings I run with an r7 and 3080 installed on ssd. Suspects having inhuman reaction times and continuing to shoot you through solid cover while also sprinting in the opposite direction. Firefights are non existent, you either kill them in 2 to 3 shots or your entire screen is flinched until you are dead. Loving the update in general but AI are just super imbalanced and make it very frustrating to actually try to play instead of gunning everything down.

I'm just gonna copy-paste what I wrote in my review... No, it's not an exhaustive list:
So, where do I even start about this so-called 1.0 update...

- Still no breaching tool, no 9-bangs, no cutting power, no negotiator, no drone or ladders or anything that was once teased.
- Still no NVGs with gas masks, even though it was teased just recently.
- Still not even freaking balaclavas?
- Still zero self-preservation or indeed any other human sense among the suspects, who will readily charge the SWAT team even with bare hands. At this point, Void might as well drop this entire "life saving peace officers" charade and make another generic military shooter.
- "SWAT no longer steps on dead bodies" Well yeah, cool! Now make it so they don't phase through living NPCs or each other while also being completely solid for me.
- Still painfully limited gun customization.
- Still no flashlight and laser at the same time.
- Customization menu still barely usable.
- Optiwand still can't properly and comfortably see around corners like it could in SWAT4.
- Not even custom voicelines for mission specific objectives, just "TOC, bagging evidence"... Really? Again, freaking SWAT4 had these.
- "Sir, you're in my way!" Oh look, now you take a hint from SWAT4!
- Nicely modelled briefing room, nicely recorded briefing voiceovers, so we're gonna have nice briefing cutsc... Oh nevermind, just listen to the audio from your tablet.
- In fact, all the environmental NPC animations are very "immersive".
- The missions aren't even in the right order it seems. Talent agency briefing mentions evidence from our recent raid on the Datacenter. 'Scuse me, we haven't been in any datacenter yet!
- The officers even comment on the poor dead dog... In the place where it laid before the update!

I could go on and on, but you get the point. These are just the things out of top of my head after a few hours of gameplay. It is clear now Void just wanted 1.0 to be out before the holidays but except better SWAT AI and more content, barely anything has improved. It is very obviously still a very early access, except now it's everyone's guess if they will continue to work on it or not.

Unlike many others, I have never given up on RoN when many called it a scam, instead believing it's the SWAT4 successor we've been all waiting for. With each update my doubts grew but I still held out hope, now this "1.0" seals the deal.

Well, maybe Ground Branch will fill the spot on the SP tactical shooter market one day... In a decade or so.

Need a quick button "Retry" when the mission fails instead of going back to headquarters, reloading mission and loading back in
