Is recoil still crazy?
I didnt play RoN for some time. Is it still extremly strong with some weird upward kick?

Not really, it all depends on your loadout. UMP45 and MP5 for example almost had zero recoil.
Ahroovi Dec 8, 2023 @ 8:04am
And that just kinda shows how jacked up it is cause UMP's are straight blowback and kick way more than an MP5 does.

What are you talking about? You shouldn't hold your fire button to spray and pray. This is not COD.

Assault rifles and pistols had way too much kick a year ago in the version of ready or not I played.
One shot already offset the point of impact above a person on 10m distance (when aimed center mass). Recoil was insane. This is not about CoD. It is about common sense. 5.56 does not kick like that IRL.

I guess its fixed by now if you guys do not know what I am talking about.

Almost like that guy never played the game. One "AR" in 5.56 would kick way more than another which in real life CAN happen with overgassing and stuff, but for game purposes doesn't make any sense. MK1 supporter rifle was super bad, G36C had super low recoil (as they do IRL, shot one full auto when I was 14 with no issues at all). Other AR's like the KAC SR16 had way more muzzle climb than it should considering the barrel length, gas system, weight etc.

The gunfighter mod helped massively, also with how it reset the gun to the original point of aim if you stopped shooting for a second, super useful and way better feeling. If you did rapid shots it would still climb appropriately.

Full auto is completely pointless, just use tap, if that don't work, use more tap. Besides negating most recoil, it also saves tons of ammo. I only ever carry 3 extra mags and have literally never ran out of ammo for primary, I usually won't even touch 1 or 2 of them, I do carry 5+ flashbangs though

Who did ask that?

Yeah no-one asked. I use semi auto ingame like I do with my real guns.

Fist of all you're talking IRL and this is a game. I don't really know why you're trying to compare mouse input with actually holding a weapon. They aren't the same. Second, 99% of SWAT, military, police will fire rifles on single fire because it's significantly more accurate than holding down the trigger on full auto. If you want a weapon that you can full auto accurately then just use pistol caliber weapons like the smgs. If you want to talk IRL, the only time you would full auto a rifle is when ♥♥♥♥ has hit the fan and the enemies are right on you. Even machine gunners don't hold the trigger down. They fire burst until forced to go cyclic.

Well the update isn't out yet so it could change. The version you are playing now Miles is the same one for the last year.

depends on the loadout. ARN-18 is my fav weapon among all the other assault rifles. its accurate - has the easiest spray control - got high damage - has various attachments that u can experience with. maybe they will change the recoil of some weapos with 1.0 uptade but till then this is the most reliable assault rifle.

Again no one asked. And I was not talking or refering to full auto. Some people need to learn how to read and understand a post first before replying to something no one talked or asked about.

This game wants to be an authentic experience. There is obviously a difference between real guns and a mouse. No need to go captain obvious on me for that one. But there are plenty of ways to do a better simulation than this game did.

What are you talking about? You asked if the recoil was strong for no reason and I basically said no. The recoil is 100% controllable. If you can't even handle it on single fire then just get better.

Next time just write „git gud“. Same value, but less words. xD

By the way for those that are interested: The game still has no proper counter-recoil system like modern FPS games have but they really nerfed the recoil so its okay now.
