Can't Recommend- Not buying twice
TL;DR- Bought through void's website- still have the [archived] early access build- yet after partnership I only have access to the outdated archived version and store page requests that I buy to get access again- Meh- Doubtful I will ever get the full release if the game is finished. Don't waste your time or money. Shameless cash grab to the people that supported development but are forgotten.

Have you tried... contacting them at all? Sounds like a simple error that could be easily resolved if you brought it to their attention. I bought via their website just before the game went to Steam and received a Steam key at launch.

Check your email for 2 new codes, sent to you by xsolla back in December 2021

every single OG supporter was given the key for the EA version. if you can't find the email, contact xsolla with proof.

To even contact xsolla your require a transaction number. While this is not a problem for most transactional scenarios you have to bear in mind that you're talking about going back 3+ years. The same with searching to old bank invoices- The point is that if the game was aquired on steam it should stay there- not be archived and reopened as a new title entirely- for cases where the unforseen happens. People lose access to email as a possible example for you. People's cards get lost or the chip stops reading and they are forced to get new ones with new numbers. And sometimes the title is purchased as a gift- making it difficult to run back and forth with additional emails and communications. Had I bought this game /on/ steam- This would be a non-issue.

The bureaucracy is not worth the stress- voidinteractive can keep the money I spent on the supporter edition with my blessing. I mean this more as a cautionary tale to those that would buy into a slow moving early access title to illustrate potential pitfalls that might occur such as- Receiving the early access, having it in your steam library, only to lose access and be up the proverbial creek with nothing but an old and dated archived build to show for it. There should have been an automated process like most early access titles- Certainly it is possible to check records of steam accounts, purchases, and who bought into the game and who did not. It would just require effort- That effort is placed on the people who supported the game a long time ago.

I do not expect to go through this with say Baulder's Gate 3 for example or many other early access titles I have participated in or spent my money on. I expect the game will be in my library on release and I can just open it and play, not have to track down a proof of purchase, argue or rant or deal with an automated system outside of the gaming platform the title is on, or dig into 3 years worth of purchases or emails. Or- simply say nothing and 'let it go'. All to play in continuing early access.

Essentially I am left with paying for beta access- I'm ok with that. I just want to illustrate how it is handled, the hoops you are made to jump through and the specific problems that are present and can potentially arise with handling purchases outside the steam platform that are not established. You cannot simply (For those who are unaware) Login to voidinteractive.net for example and see your supporter key as you could with say Humble Bundle.

every single supporter was sent the code, if the email got deleted, that's an issue on your end. at the end of the day, Xsolla handles the key distribution and VOID can not do anything. so your only choice is to contact them.

Thank you very much for your reply, however it illustrates my /point/ perfectly. Referencing what I initially posted "To even contact xsolla your require a transaction number", makes that not a very viable option. I would suggest you asses your own statement in regards to the devs not being able to do anything with their own product, moreso I am a bit suspicious that you neglected several key points to my statement but meh here-

https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1144200/view/5702151139909949916

Just one example of how that is not necessarily the case. To those that don't want to click the above url they gave away 24 keys.

"that's an issue on your end." -It is an issue, my post wasn't to complain it was to do the following, which was done:

"I mean this more as a cautionary tale to those that would buy into a slow moving early access title to illustrate potential pitfalls that might occur such as- Receiving the early access, having it in your steam library, only to lose access and be up the proverbial creek with nothing but an old and dated archived build to show for it."

"I just want to illustrate how it is handled, the hoops you are made to jump through and the specific problems."

" It would just require effort- That effort is placed on the people who supported the game a long time ago."

Either lock the thread, or if you must mark a solution- "Contacting xsolia" is not a viable solution. The whole point of this is to alert people that this can happen. Sorry, I do not mean to be difficult- But you are suggesting an inviable solution to a real problem.

Yes I am aware, it's not viable for anyone with this situation, and the dev faq proposes:

"I haven't received any supporter edition emails"
"A: Please check your junk/spam emails, sometimes email protocols send them there. If you had your email on file with us changed, be sure to check your old email as well. If neither of these options work, please reach out to https://help.xsolla.com/."

help.xsolla.com requires the purchase code- Which at the same time makes this a "divide by zero discussion" and illustrates my point perfectly.

You can mark resolved I know you're just a mod doing their job- But don't mark the reason as contact xsolla, because their system is as busted as Pizza Huts new call center system for phone orders. ~Busted~ And leaves people without what they paid for.

Thanks
