You should be entirely able to set your side buttons for interactions, but you may need your mouses software to fully use it, it's hard to say. By default, I think one of your side buttons (TMB2) will be set to flashlights/lasers

thanks! I figured out how to set them, but uncertain as to best use for them . . . maybe for switching between tactical items?
That would be entirely up to you, the key binds can be a pain to setup because one button might perform multiple actions. I personally only have two buttons, which I keep to flashlight/laser and cant aim. Outside of that, I can't imagine another setting I'd put on my mouse

I'm having a similar problem. After having to clear save game because it kept crashing all bindings were reset. Even though I think my reload mouse button was set up as default, its not anymore. I can't figure out how to register the binding for a double tap/hold. I want to make the reload/fast reload/check mag bound to my tmb instead of "R". Do you know how to get it to register a double press or hold ?

I set the fast reload/check mag as a separate random key in RoN and had to then bind that key to one of my mouse side buttons using the Logitech software (Logitech mouse)

Interesting. I actually figured it out and without having to use separate software. If you just change the first "reload/check" option to your mb then the clear the next 3 bindings "fast reload, Reload, & Check" (might already be cleared as factory) all 3 register as the first binding. I can hold down for check and double click for fast reload.

I don't understand why key bindings have become an issue.I'd love to buy and play this game buy I'm afraid of the key binding issue.I move forward with left mouse, jump with right mouse, straif left with , and right with . backwards with / shoot with right Shift reload with Enter throw with gernade with Right Ctrl.I won't buy until I can be sure of those key bindings.I'm 53.And have bin playing that way since the original DOOM demo I got from the store way back all those years ago. That's alot of years of muscel memory I can't overcome.I don't see any reason the Devs would care about are key bindings.
