NO TO MOD.IO
Im i the only one that hate Mod.io and how it works. it was already a bad idea with Sandstorm and now read or not. Its not user friendly , at the moment a person miss 1 mod you cant play with them. Is anyone outside me is mad about this ? Why not the simplicity of workshop .... ????

This comes down to a misunderstanding of how Mods in general work, you are not required to have the same mods outside of maps and special mods like Battlefield or Not. Otherwise, everything is either reliant on the host to have it or is entirely client side

The devs clarified in the AMA yesterday that Mod.io as a platform is solid, but different implementations like in Sandstorm (though they did not list it specifically) are at fault

I agree it is a horrible implementation. having to install mods and then have to do lots of manual installation afterwards for most mods is just terrible. Steam workshop is 100% the way to go. no in game filters for mods. No subscribe list. Just get it on steam....

What I love about Mod.io is that you don`t have to use it. I install my mods manually and have no issues.

To be fair, the same mods you'd have to manually install via mod.io are the same mods you'd have to manually install via steam workshop.

Also this, combined with the fact that the Devs had said in the recent AMA that Steam may come in the future.

Nice, that would provide good flexibility for players to choose where and how to manage their mods.
