Did friendly AI get more retarded ?
I swear these guys got a AI nerf lol. I don't recall them ever being this bad. Example : Mirror under door " All clear no hostiles" as one walks by. So I have them clear and there is 3 freaking enemies standing there. Not to mention room clearing with these guys is like blind folded old men.

More power to ya man haha. I'd rather deal with dumb AI because I can just rage quit and restart. But yeah.. I don't recall them being this bad before. I THINK... the enemy AI got buffed so much and the friendly AI just remained beta level. There for enemy AI just flank you and your dumb ass team just stand there broken.

Yeah I know what you mean. However, they did say clear. I know they'll do what you said .. so I waited like 5 seconds. I essentially was testing the AI because I KNEW there was enemy. I could A) hear them and B) I freaking saw them walk by ( glass window on door) lol. So i sent them in to see what they did.

Flash bang seems to not do ♥♥♥♥ to enemy anymore. AND if you make your guy raise riot shield he becomes damn near full blown retarded. I watched countless times him stand there taking shots and not doing anything.

All in all...I think their AI needs a massive TLC patch. I've played this since pre alpha and I never...never had so much issues.

You got to think about it tactically man. If you were ordered to raise your shield and be the first to go in and started taking shots You certainly wouldn't abandon your cover. At that point it's up to the other squad members to start on the offensive and provide you some cover fire.

I keep having a bug on Cherrysee Farms raid where they won't open the doors on their own...that level is impossible as is with bots...

All I do is think about it tactically man. Riot shield stills has his side arm. I would absolutely return fire not just take it. First man in stack makes the call and ea soldier/cop goes to his point of domination. The AI is blatantly just not responding to the threat. I tested this with and without shield. With shield the dude dies almost every time unless I take the threat out for him ( my squad just stand there). Also, a flash should be leaving these enemies completely disoriented. Sometimes I think it bugs out or whatever and they don't seem fazed at all . Again, I never had these issues before so this is why i brought it up. I just got back from being overseas so it was 9 month hiatus from this game. A lot changed ( alot of good and some bad).

Yup. I've had that issue too. I'll have to open the door for them while they stand there banger primed in hand lmao. I have numerous video clips of this crap. It does make the game almost unplayable unless you're fine with immersion breaking retardation.

It's not just you. I was taking a break from the game for over a year now and I noticed the friendly AI clearly regressed since the first iteration of Early Access 2 something years ago. You'd think in this time frame the gunplay and mechanics would be ironed out. The AI being engaged in plain sight and does not acknowledge it, when stacked up on a door and calling for a flash/stinger/etc and clear, multiple officer AIs clip into each other trying to complete the action, but the door opens and closes repeatedly causing them to get the entire team to get slaughtered. What makes me the angriest is when sending in the full team to clear a room, 1 decides to hang back staring into the door frame doing ♥♥♥♥ all, another walks into a corner then proceed to stare into that corner.

Still better than the players I've encountered in publics. I've had some encounters of 'teammates' berating you for your kit, taking forever to get into a match just to injure you right in the spawn area, or running off ahead hap-hazardly to get killed within 60 seconds then demanding a restart.

SWAT 4 SEF mod is still superior to me and only loses in graphics and weapon customization.

This is why I do not play with people lol. I already now they would drive me insane. Sure, there are solid folk out there who play but finding a team like that is rare. I am super methodical in this game and having someone run around like a jackass or try to pretend he is GarandThumb would drive me crazy.

Sorry but it's true. They tend to get in the way a lot more. Staring down the halls at the penthouse with one enemy, all drop dead. Also hostages try to glitch into the closets they're supposed to hide in. AI has been better a year ago, Single Player went pretty much downhill.
