probably because they are incomplete.

If you're referring to the House in the Woods mission, that's because the objective is to take both of them alive while avoiding their booby-traps.

Next time, try taking both alive and see how easy that is.

If you want a run & gun mission take the Docks, Voll House, or Night club. Far more enemies present on those levels.

Also the gas station has far more enemies (approx. half a dozen) and can - usually as a warmup mission; be done in around 5 minutes as well.

I don't run and gun, but it feels like a waste of effort clearing room by room only to find so few enemies in the entire map.
I think the 2 suspect maps are the kind of RON maps that are more realistic to real SWAT operations, where you have 15-20 suspect maps that are less likely in IRL. So they just have a variety.

imo the devs should add a custom game mode which allows the player to spawn as many enemies as they please at the start

Defenders have a significant advantage over assaulters. Which is why law enforcement tactical teams maintain a major numerical advantage over suspects before even considering making entry.

I've tried a few mods that increase the suspect count as a secondary feature and ended up disliking them. It's a very different gameplay tone when you know there's a suspect around every corner versus when you don't. The latter requires you maintain constant vigilance. So at least for me, less suspects may mean less fun gunfighting but it does make for a more exciting and enriching experiences. I don't treat less suspects as an excuse for poor tactics. But your mileage may vary based on what you're looking for in the gameplay.

That said, the Ridgeline hasn't quite nailed the cat and mouse type gameplay that is intended yet. Right now it plays like any other map just with two suspects.

If you played SWAT3 or SWAT4 you’d understand. Several classic maps had 1-2 suspects.

Oh i see, I am new to this genre of game. So it may felt weird at first, but if it's like this i guess I am to expect more this sort of gameplay in the future

In the future they are probably going make complex difficulty options for every map , with more dudes, traps , hostages etc i imagine , but yeah , in real life there are no 10 dudes trying to whack you , it's usually 1 or 2.

Every time you play it can go a different way.

You're a SWAT team. Your mission is to bring order to the chaos and arrest 2 suspects. Not to clear levels and kill everything. Try to embrace that.

There are already a million games where you kill everyone on site. You're used to them. This is different, or trying to be.

There's also a decent degree of buy-in from the player. If you're good enough at first person shooters you absolutely can freelance your way through some of the smaller maps without regard to risk or good tactics. But that gets old extremely quickly. So alot of the fun comes from engaging with the setting and approaching each situation smartly.

first try on that map I got a S vote (in single player). Im really not a pro and pretty sure one of the suspects died in the operation... maybe is bugged the vote system?

edit, I still liked the map gives me re7 vibes
