Ready or Not

Ready or Not

PERFORMANCE INCREASE
(STEP 1.) You will need the console unlocker mod for this to work. DOWNLOAD IT HERE -

https://www.nexusmods.com/readyornot/mods/716

(STEP 2.) Once you have the console unlocker installed for ready or not you can access it in game by pressing F2. Copy/ ENTER the following codes into the console and click EXECUTE.

R.tonemapperfilm 0|R.fog 0|R.mipmaplodbias 2|R.shadowQuality 0|R.BloomQuality 0|R.shadow.PerObject 0

I highly recommend locking fps to 60 if you are stuggling with performance. This way you get a consistent 60 fps " hopefully " and your pc is not struggling to give you 80 fps here and 40 fps there etc.

NOTE-
Create a txt document and save these commands so you can just copy and paste them for ease of use.

NOTE - Setting the r.mipmaplodbias to 1 or higher is what mainly gives you the biggest performance boost. It simplifies the graphics.

ASK ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU NEED HELP. I WILL KEEP AN EYE ON THIS THREAD FOR A WHILE. ENJOY

Questions? HOW DO I OR WHERE DO I INSTALL THE CONSOLE UNLOCKER THING?

ANSWER - ( 1. ) You can get the console unlocker mod from the link I provided at the top of the discussion. It will take you to Nexus a site where you download mods. You may have to create a quick account " no big deal "

( 2. ) Assuming you have made a nexus account and have downloaded the mod we can now move forward.

( 3 ) * Open steam and go to library where you have your games.
** Right click on Ready Or Not and click properties.
*** Click local files
**** Click on browse
***** Now open the ready or not folder then the content folder and lastly open the paks folder. This paks folder is where you want to drop the mod you installed from nexus.

Make sure when you downloaded the mod you extracted the files. Take those extracted files and drop them in the location I described above. " the paks folder "

Run the game and in game hit F2 to open the console. Type in the commands I provided and click execute.

Good old LOD. It's like the days when you set LOD bias on counter-strike!

Is there a way to turn off the dynamic lighting \ gamma or whatever is this?
For example when you're in the Carriers of the Vine outside the building you can't see anything inside because there is darkness, but when you come in darkness is gone.
Just really hate it.

For what it's worth, it's attempting to replicate pupil dilation. If you're outside on a sunny day and try to look inside someone's window where there's no interior lighting, it can be almost black. Naturally, when you go inside, your pupil dilates to allow more light in, making the darker inside brighter and more visible.

It's something they started adding to games when HDR became a thing, and now they just love to do it. Could try and find a way to disable HDR and see if that fixes it for you.

What are the stock values or a way to restore the default in case people dislike the changes?

You will have to enter these commands every time you start the game. So it would not be saved. So no worries on messing anything up.

The default r.mipmaplodbias is 0 If you wanted to make the game look even better you could actually try something like -1 -2 -3 -4 But since I focused on making the game run better putting mipmaplodbias to something like 10 will give you much better performance along with r.shadowquality 0

Glock what directory are you trying to paste the extracted files into. I didn't have any issues I simply pasted the extracted file pakchunk98-Mods_Camera_Mod_P into the paks file folder.

ALSO - possibly use this to trouble shoot the problem?

Guide on write protected files and how to resolve your issue.

Nice find, unfortunate that you have to enter all of these commands not only on start of game but on a per match bases, I'd also recommend getting the In Game Menu mod it includes the console.

You can create a txt document and put all the commands on the same line but each command has to be seperated by this line looking character |

in example

R.tonemapperfilm 0|R.fog 0|R.mipmaplodbias 2|R.shadowQuality 0|R.tonemappergamma 2.9

So now you can just copy this and open the console in game and paste it.

Use values that suit you. You may not need to change tone mapper gamma at all and if you do it may not be 2.9 it may be 2 because everyone settings are different.
