Ceramic,metal and kevlar armor difference

Is there any particular difference between these three vest types?

Kevlar will stop AP rounds, Ceramic will stop most rifle rounds but it'll be less durable than steel, Steel will stop just about anything being much more durable but it weighs you down a bit

And to add to that, your weight doesn't affect your top speed (you'll not be any slower than a guy without armour) however; your acceleration is affected by the weight of the armour.

I haven't played the update, but that doesn't sound right. Kevlar is soft armor which usually only stops pistol rounds.

I'm no expert either but I thought regarding overall protection it would be like this: Ceramics > Steel > Kevlar
Meaning Ceramics are better than Kevlar.

From my understanding Ceramics are great at stopping 1-2 high powered shot, but then it breaks in those spots absorbing the impact, while steel will not stop the same highest powered shots, can absorb many more rounds b/c it does't break to shed velocity, also its much heavier.

In the patch notes they list it kevlar<ceramic<steel with each one having higher protection than the last but also a slower movement acceleration rate.
