Ready or Not?

I'm starting to realize why the games name is 'ready or not', maybe consider adding a ?, because that's what I've been asking myself about updates for the game.


I love this game so so much, but the lack of content makes it to were none of my friends are willing to play, do to the fact they are so bored. Please keep this game alive.

Theres updates, this one how ever is just so large they've delayed it multiple times now to polish every inch of it. Presumptuously, if they are more than dead ass this time, this new quality of life update will be around the end of this month

Unfortunately, adding a few guns, and adding to pre-existing maps isn't enough. I understand patients is key, but being strung along, and baited over and over again has become a staple in the gaming industry. All i ask of them is don't make promises you cant keep, knowing very well it wont be ready in time, just to build our hopes. Ill have to start calling VOID Interactive, EA.

bro literally a huge fcking update is right around the corner. So big the gameplay should change so much by only increasing AI intelligence and their animations, they are giving them life. Doesn't change the FACT they have promised this update several times. Look guys i really do love this game. In all honesty, how many times have you been let down because you were told the game or update is around the corner? Its not a specific game issue, its the entire industry.

And i hope anyone that reads this knows, I mean no malice. I just wanted to start a discussion. I just don't want VOID following the same history as many others have done before.

look, ima be honest. i literally bought this game yesterday, even though i been following it for a while since it got announced. then today i saw the video Void posted about this update, and even tho i had played only a couple hours, i got so gassed up. that video also gave me some sort of feeling the devs have about this game, i just felt it was so much in good hands and it is such a priority to polish and perfect their product for them.

I guess I'll just never understand people who buy Early Access games with that giant disclaimer above the buy button. Then get upset about the game being unfinished. Just put it on the shelf until it's 1.0 released. Seems like the solution to the problem. Unless you'd rather they start pushing extra buggy updates before they're ready. What's option C if you have one? And don't say JUST RELEASE IT ON TIME. Like they're being late on purpose. rofl

You know Game developers have realized that delaying a game is the most effective means of building hype? Like i said i love the game.

Tarkov is a super great example. They do a beta for years and years. Now (without the game being finished mind you) they announce a 'new game' call escape from tarkov area. The industry has become money hungry. You cant argue that. The ONLY reason games do early access now , is so they cant get sued for leaving a product unfinished. I just worry that eventually that's where this is headed.

Granted I am a part of the developer being referred to, so you should always take what I say with a grain of salt, but I can assure you that the prior decisions to delay the game were not to build hype but to properly finish the systems previewed in the trailer video.

As for Tarkov, if it's any consolation, VOID is nothing like them. I can say that with a reasonable amount of authority after working alongside BSG and their community team for two years.

Naw, given the general atmosphere around gaming and the soured reputation of a lot of ambitious projects it is very much a dose of healthy skepticism.

It's your job as a consumer to judge the products you consume and say your piece, just like it's my job as a community manager to soothe your fears and help the consumer along.

It's almost like AI is super easy to make and you never have to worry about finding things in the logic that makes them lock up during gameplay causing bad performance or makes them take cover on the wrong side of something, among many other non issues.

Considering the quality that is already in the game, and the quality that additional content must be, their update times are fine even with delays. The update will be awesome. If you can't wait it's on you. Game already has lots of replay value in it's current state already. If development stopped right now, I would be mad but I'd still play and enjoy this game for the foreseeable future. They at least had a product to sell from the start unlike Takedown: RS, Epsilon, and even Ground Branch back when that had a kickstarter (They have come a long way though, game is definitely worth it).

Skepticism is good but the game is definitely not lacking in content. Levels are not linear and don't play out the same, plus the different modes and gear to use in each level. Getting bored is a personal problem.

People are out of their minds comparing this game to CP2077 and VOID to Electronic Arts, you can see how much passion there is in this community for the game but my guys you need to start coping harder.

What did you expect, that the game enters early access after something like 7 years of developement and once you spend your money on it, it will be fully released within the next 3 months?

There are developers who use ea as a model to purpusefully scam their customers with 0 intent of delivering a finished or enjoyable final product but you guys are literally calling for the noose after not getting an update for 2 months
(and let's not forget that they've been posting updates on the status of the upcoming major update every-single-week)

The fact that so many people are freaking out about this would be funny if it wasnt so freaking sad at the same time.
