Seems that quoting it (on my message) breaks the video, you should be able to preview it now without opening it. But not sure, it would for sure be an alternative to the taser, I just say beanbag shotty because it's a shotgun taser. I like the option to have another taser on the bottom for closer ranges, or I guess as an emergency non-lethal
From my limited understanding, the X12 is not authorised for use at close range (whether that's due to it being ineffective or potentially lethal, I'm not sure), which is why they are usually fitted with a standard Taser for use in ranges under ~20ft. The main function of the X12 is to provide more range than the standard taser, while being more effective at immediately incapacitating a target than a bean bag shotgun.
Granted, while they are comparable, I believe the Remington 870 and Mossberg 590 are visually different enough to be fairly easily identified, and I don't think that the shades of yellow and orange in question are similar enough to be confused. That said, the main purpose of their colouration is so they aren't confused for lethal shotguns, which I don't see as a potential problem for either.
In terms of functionality, the X12 could provide the instant surrender on hit which the standard Taser provides, while potentially being either lethal or ineffective if used at too close of a range? The Taser fore-grip could also require that the weapon in the secondary slot is a Taser, and disable it as a standalone weapon.
Maybe? I don't know. When it comes down to it, I don't think it needs to differ hugely from the bean bag shotgun, seeing as there are already two far more functionally similar pepperball guns. The main idea was simply to suggest another non-lethal weapon — one, in this case, which is seldom seen in games of this genre.
Which is exactly my point about why, if the X12 was added, it could feasibly function similarly to the bean bag shotgun without it being totally redundant.
While I have the deepest sympathies for those who suffer life changing injuries due to the misuse of less-lethal equipment, I don't see how that's related to the game.
real life
not in service cuz it 125 dollar per shot and I am not even Heavy Weapon Guy
