I have made some amendments to original post, according to corrections posted by u/FoxtrotNineteen

"In an effort to better flush out the lore for members of this subreddit, I have created a page that will list the current factions, both law enforcement and criminal, within Ready or Not, to the best of my ability. If I left any out, forgot one, or there are any changes you would like to suggest, comment down below! I have separated the factions into two main sub factions; law enforcement, and criminals."

Law Enforcement

Los Suenos Police Department - SWAT Team - D Platoon

Unit within the LSPD SWAT Team
Main group we play as, consisting of a diverse cast of characters
Seems to be your standard American SWAT unit, equipped with fully automatic, high powered rifles, law enforcement gadgets, and more advanced tactical training than your standard LEO.

Members consist of:

Judge. Unknown name, unknown age, unknown origin, unknown length of service. AKA FBI HRT "Alpha."
Pernell "Alabama" Lewiss. 5 years of service, born December 23, 1982.
Eli Webb. 8 years of service, born June 6, 1989.
Prescott Chittenden. 15 years of service, Born December 14, 1984.
Ervin "King" Carr. 12 years of service, born November 3, 1985.
William "Coyboy" Hee-Bong. 10 years of service, born August 21, 1988.
Robert "Swan" Childs. 6 years of service, born January 13, 1990.
Joaquin Da Paz. 7 years of service, born October 18, 1984.

Lore that is outdated now gave a story of the Los Angeles Police Department going nearly bankrupt in a dystopian near future setting.

Federal Bureau of Investigation - Hostage Rescue Team

The Hostage Rescue Team, abbreviated HRT, is the elite, tactical unit of the FBI, tasked with high risk missions, and national security threats
Superior training, experience, and leadership
Tasked with the most dangerous of domestic missions, including counter-terrorism
Works with the LSPD for certain missions, such as the raid at Port Hoken
Distinctive HRT patches and Multicam pattern uniforms

The Criminals

The Hand

Highly organized and dangerous Islamic fundamentalist terrorist cell from Northern Yemen
American cell is revenge oriented, seeking payback against the US for their military actions in Yemen
Well equipped with both Soviet and modern day equipment and firearms, such as RPD light machineguns, AK-102 rifles, and plate carriers with ceramic plates
Well trained, able to hold their own in a firefight, and more than willing to die before surrendering
Fanatical dedication to causing mayhem and death, will stop at nothing to kill as many innocent people as possible
Known for notorious attacks such as that on the Neon Nightclub in downtown Los Suenos, which killed hundreds, or of their takeover of Coastal Grove Medical Center
Known to utilize suicide bombing tactics
Wears distinctive yellow balaclavas, yellow shemaghs, and tan plate carriers and boots
Presumably based on infamous terrorists groups such as ISIS, Black September, etc.
Rivals with The Left Behind, want revenge on them for a mass shooting carried out by a Left Behind member

The Left Behind

Disillusioned and disgruntled right-wing domestic terrorist group, made up of former vets, and other angry young men, lead by unknown but charismatic leader
Responsible for political assassinations, and murdereing innocent civilians
Known for infamous takeover of an entire penthouse floor in Los Suenos, at Brisa Cove, where they used the windows as snipers nests to fire down on political rivals and innocents alike
Well armed, and well trained, able to hold their own in a shootout
Fairly well armed, utilizing M4A1s, various submachine guns, pistols, and even a sniper rifle
Presumably based on infamous, homegrown American domestic terrorists such as Timothy McVeigh, the OKC bomber. Could also be based on the Proud Boys
Rivals with The Hand, hatred based on islamaphobia, xenophobia, and racism
To my knowledge there is no evidence, according to Penthouse assets, of any xenophobia or racism, but they're obviously a bit... loopy, and have verbally expressed anti-"globalist" sentiment.

The Hoodie Gang

Typical American street gang, made up of miscreants and out of control youths
Poorly equipped, wielding cheap submachine guns, machine pistols such as the Tec-9, and Glock-19 pistols
Quick to surrender when faced with serious opposition such as the LSPD SWAT team
Willing and able to rob retail stores and other low-level stores, and raise mayhem
Uses brute force to take hostages
Not as big of a threat as other groups on this list, but certainly armed and dangerous
Irrational, which has lead to them killing innocent civilians, such as the store clerk at the gas station
here is zero evidence linking the 2+ primary adolescents/"meth head kids" to any gang affiliation.

Members consist of:
Zion, who wears the dark clothing and the two-hole balaclava.
Jayden, who wears the cap and bandana face covering.
Other accomplices.


Park Homes Methamphetamine Distributors / Producers

Made up of enforcers, and frenzied tweakers
Moderately well armed for a group of meth dealers, wielding everything from revolvers and Tec-9s to M37 shotguns and the rare M4A1
Mostly unarmored, but many presuambly are able to prolong firefights because of all the methamphetamine and adrenaline running through their systems
Utilizes the shadows and surprise attacks to ambush LSPD SWAT officers, not afraid of engaging in hand-to-hand combat
Possibly associated with or working for a Latin-American cartel organization
Gained notoriety for their fierce resistance to an LSPD raid on one of their distribution points located at 213 Park Homes Avenue
Suspected of moving and or producing meth inside Chico's resturant, and have had several run-ins with the police at this location

Bolton Security

Personal army to Amos Voll, pornography producer and leader of a Los Suenos child pornography ring
Moderately equipped, wearing kevlar vests, and utilizing MP5 series SMGs, MPXs, P90s, and high capacity handguns
Fairly well trained, able to utilize cover, suppressive fire, and willing to hunt down any intruder within their vicinity
Known for their stubborn resistance at the talent agency building, and for their shootout at Amos Voll's upscale Los Suenos residence - the Voll Health House
Unknown if they are participating, but they are complicit in the illegal porn ring - likely in it for the paycheck
Many members would rather go down fighting, rather than give themselves up to the LSPD
Checks for Bolton Security are written out to a Viktor Karkovisc.

Eastern European Human Traffickers

A large group of American and Eastern European criminals, with possible ties to the Russian Mafia
Engages in lucrative human trafficking trade within Los Suenos
Uses the car dealership as a front for their dealings, and as a headquarters for their shell company
Moves their "cargo" in and out of Port Hoken. presumably all over the world
Possible ties to victims of Amos Voll's porn ring
Possible rivals to Latin-American cartel and the methamphetamine distributors
Not especially well-trained, but they make up for it with serious firepower, using AK pattern rifles, RPK and RPD light machine guns, and modern submachine guns
More than willing to use dock workers and office workers as human shields and hostages
Highly organized, smart enough to try and legitimize businesses within the United States
The human trafficking operation, according to Andrei Fedin, is coming greater to America.
Notable members include, but are not limited to:
Ivan Sadykov. Young Russian-American working muscle and control over human trafficking victims. Overworked by the mob and is aggressive toward the women, referring to one as a "Vietnamese ♥♥♥♥♥," and proclaiming "One less ♥♥♥♥♥ to worry about" when one is killed.
Andrei Fedin. Possible necrophile, and will not hesitate to kill the women.
Boris Azarov. Warns the LSPD that they are getting into serious ♥♥♥♥ by dismantling the human trafficking operation.


Mariposa Lily Order / The Hand / Other cult

Made up of former and possibly active duty veterans and law enforcement officers
Well trained, and moderately well equipped, utilizing M4A1s, and M14s, although many do not wear any body armor capable of stopping a rifle round
Coordianted, they utilize Cherryessa Farm and the surrounding property as their base of operations
Fanatical to their cause, willing to die for what they believe in
Anti-government, militia style group, many members have the phrase "Sic Semper Tyranis" written on the back of their uniforms
Most likely some sort of Christian, fundamnetalist, evangelical group
Possibly linked to The Left Behind, as they both share similar right-wing viewpoints
Most likely based on David Koresh's Branch Davidians, and the infamous Waco Siege, along with Cliven Bundy, the Oathkeepers, or the Three Percenters


Rebels Rejects and Los Locos Del Pacificos (Reportedly in game models are currently placeholders for both)

Anti-government, anti-police group
Known for their attacks on the Wenderly Hills Hotel, and for their kidnapping of a senator's daughter
Motives not well known
Possibly tied to The Left Behind for their shared anti-government views
Moderately armed, utilizing kevlar body armor, CBRN masks, submachine guns and pistols
Quick to panic under pressure, but happy to engange in gunfights with the police
Rivals of the unnanmed biker club, with which they engage in a shootout with after a deal went sour at the hotel
Uniform look, dressing as hotel workers, security guards, and white-collar businessmen, possibly to blend in / as a disguise
Suspected of many strong-arm robberies, organized like a heist crew

Rebels Rejects
Leader of gang: Johnny "Axel" Ramone - dating Belle Brady (senator's daughter)
In Hotel, they're featured fighting the Los Locos Del Pacificos after a botched drug deal.
They hold control over some of the meth trade in Los Suenos.
Moderately armed
Unknown views or motives, presuambly money
Rivals with the unnamed domestic terrorist group, engaged in a bloody shootout with them during a deal gone wrong
Barely an actual faction

The faction or factions that hit the hotel are implied to have stolen gear from the police as one of them may occasionally appear in a full riot setup - the Heavy Armor vest with OD visored helmet. They are usually armed with an AK74U being the only indicator they are not a LEO aside from shooting at civvies and the police themselves.

The updated police car models also imply that the LSPD is not only underfunded (they resemble older, late-80's and 1990's Ford Crown Victorias) but majority of them have been retrofitted with riot cages reflecting the dangerous state of the city, and a possibly amplified animosity towards the police by the general public. This means the "outdated" lore provided by Void has been retconned in some way. The full extent of the LSPD's operational status and public reception is still unknown as we can only infer so much with what we got now.

There seems to be way too much claptrapping. The description of The Left Behind made my eyes roll, because it's clear that the post was written by a typical redditor from the "Western Leftist Camp", who just saw that these guys are extremist ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over veterans and decided to apply every alt-right cliche on them.

yeah, some descriptions arent probably very accurate, i've copied it all from there so we as community and hopefully devs can amend this appropriately
