No, though they kinda look alike. His daughter has a completely different name and wants to go off to some college for eco science if her room is any indication of it.
Tho i always play to fulfill the objective everytime i play solo with bots.
You missed a couple things.
For instance, I noticed how on the room where the laptop is at there is a closet with very skimpy clothes, but the size is very small (almost looks like a children's size). Then there is also the notes on the doors and walls. I don't remember which one, but one of them mentions something along the lines of "I know about your recordings. I won't keep quiet, stop it."
Amos being a creep is no surprise as you can see on the birthday raffle. There's a sign that says that if you submit feet pics (female only), you have a chance at earning a prize. I'm assuming the prize is the car at the spawn, but this is just my speculation
I also remember reading something about a dog on that level but I can't remember where
OP, if you read the the mission details when you select a mission it appears both when you select it and on the large projector screen. It tells you from the get-go what you're going into. This is word-for-word what is written in the game:
"VALLEY OF THE DOLLS: Having taken down a distribution center for an illegal child-pornography ring operating out of Los Suenos, the LSPD cyber-crime team has now located the man profiting from its sales. LSPD SWAT have been sent to his home on a warrant service."
It's a throwback to SWAT4's Fairfax Residence mission wherein you deal with similar themes to Valley of the Doll's.
I think in the notes from the security guys it says the party is almost completely wound down by the time you show up.
He does have a gun, but doesn't draw it very often, though you will still fail the objective of taking him alive if you kill him when he aims at you. SWAT are not military, nor executioners, thus aim to take every suspect alive.
Very few IRL SWAT interactions end in dead suspects due to the planning and tools at their disposal. And in addition to that, most people in real life have an instinct to live.
It's stupid and completely unrealistic to 'fail' if you return fire on an armed and dangerous suspect, anyway. For all the liberties they take with the world of Los Suenos, they somehow have the most restrictive ROE in the world when it comes to mission objective suspects.
