Iron sight alignment comically slow
Any reason why?
I do IPSC shooting with shotgun and I've seen 1st time shooters doing better.
It takes me about the same time to get gun from retention position up to my shoulder and get sights aligned as just the sight alignment in-game and I took 25th place out of 35 on the last competition, so I'm NOT any good at that.

IPSC shooting doesnt translate to actual combat in any way. Just because you can do it quickly in your football socks and compression shirt doesn't mean a thing when we are talking about guys with heavy gear on.

An in your vast experience, how long does an extremely trained guy with heavy gear on takes to sight align?

I'm not wearing neither football socks nor compression shirt. Moreover, many people are training in their helmets and plate carriers.
In reality, with body armor and helmet those guys get on target blazing fast, like 0.3 seconds from retention position to first target hit. Also, it's all done in one smooth motion, not getting gun up and then sloooowlyyyy aligning your head position from left to right like it's displayed in game. Basically, by the time you get your gun up your head is already in position and waiting.

Moreover, in-game rifle is already in firing position so you just need to get that cheek weld... it's also one smooth motion even if you're wearing a helmet, thankfully head movements in humans are quite fast and precise. Not all humans, sure, but with that kind of problem you won't pass medical to be in SWAT to begin with.
