Foundations for cqb tactics?
What are your guy’s preferred methods when it comes to the entry and clearance of a room? The more specific, the better :).

depend how you guys stack up by the door and how the rooms looks like there is different way to do (depend on the unite / department ) the most important things is to cover all the corners / sectors.

for army

if the first person take left the person behind it take right and next person take left and so on

Mirror-->peek door--> either (a) flash then breach or (b) slowly enter and sweep room.

we should be restricted to the weapon we can qualify with in a shoothouse. maybe that would solve alot of cqb tactic problems thru various groups:) at a glance you would know who the expert of the discussed topic is at that moment and defer to them. kinda like how the first gran turismo handled license and car ownership. its how real police dept actually make swat operate.

If you don't want to use tactical devices than post up the side the door opens, pie the room from the door, all clear, enter.

If you know there's hostiles, have bots C2 followed with flashbang and a flashbang from you as well, push the room during the confusion

If unsure of room layout, post to one side and peak, push the door open a smidge if not already being shot at, flash and enter

Want some spice, push up on a closed door, open it and roll into the room as it's opening

ARN-180 and SLR47 are king for DPS and compact size

I might peek the door first to check for traps depending if the mod I'm using has traps enabled or not.

Yes because in real SWAT calls, they deal with explosive traps all the time so they use electrical mirrors to check under every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ single door, right? Right?

I want a more authentic SWAT experience and less Hollywood. Booby traps are not common in SWAT missions and the mirror thing is basically made up. So I am perfectly fine with removing these silly traps to allow more realistic, fluent gameplay. Having to check every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door because there could be a trap is just absurd and annoying.

On top, just let people play however the ♥♥♥♥ they want.
the problem with CQB tactics in this game is that - if you play singleplayer like me - unfortunately there isn't much choice in regard to tactics, since you can't control friendly path, behaviour when moving, order by which they enter a room, their sectors of responsability when they seize an ambient, their roles in breaching and so on...

Basically you can only choose to "open and clear", "breach and clear" (both variants with or without the flashbang and the mirror scanning) and the rest is up to AI and randomness...that's basically it in terms of tactical solutions

it's sad for singleplayer guys like me but if you wanto to experience real tactical gameplay you have to go with a trusted squad of friends

1. Isolate route being worked and try contain uncleared space.
2. Stand oblique to door.
3. Crack door.
4. Check for threats.
5. Check for traps.
6. Open door.
7. Slice from outside.
8. Yell for compliance/shoot as needed.
9. Repeat 7&8 until all of inside seen from outside.
10. Enter.
11. Try to get shot in the flank less than the front; grenade difficult problems.
12. Repeat from beginning.

When moving, it's best to hug the wall instead of being in the middle of the room. For SWAT AI breaching, C2 and enter, without flashbangs as the C2 already confuses enemies
