Squad size
In single player, is there a way to select squad size and maybe lower it to 2 or 3? I haven't found it yet, and if not it should definitely be thrown in there at some point. Some of the maps are just too tight for 5 people to be going through

Gold controls all 4 team members, split them up to Red and Blue. You can have one team set up for using cs, another for breaching or w/e. One team does their thing while another provides cover.

appreciate the response but that was not my question. I meant can you lower the amount of squad mates to take into a mission with you

You can just tell blue/red to stay in the spwan area and work with the other pair.

FYI, the smallest map in the game requires allot more officers...
I don't really understand what can be simulated with such a small force.

I had a similar question but didn't want to start a new thread.

Is the game particularly difficult if its just two people and no bots playing?

its more about just how dumb the AI is right now and making the gameplay more clumsy lol

That depends on the skill and teamwork of the two players. I've seen 5 men fail to do what a pair of agents did with a pretty decent rating.

You split the squad right. Sometimes I'll have red team doing one thing and blue doing another. To answer the question I don't believe so in single player. As I said split the squad.

Often times I'll leave a team one side of a map somewhere to funnel suspects into their ambush if they want to run, and link up later. The underground tunnels in the house map I'll just take one team with me because that is for sure tight and 5 guys wouldn't be rolling in those tunnels. Often times I'll do the tunnels alone. I find I assault the first floor of the hotel map with just one team mostly.

I usually play with a friend, it is feasible, you notice above all having fewer tactical options because of the team that is obviously limited equip options to 2. some maps are more difficult than others anyway... for sure it is easier with a trusted friend than with 4 random berserkers. :P
