I actually want to know about attachments as well, the "control grip" doesnt' seem to be making a difference in terms of recoil.
That, I don't know. There were apparently stats when the game launched, but no longer. I only know the weapon answer because I asked on the official discord
Thanks for your help anyways. I guess I'll continue using my current loadout until I can get more info on how all it works.
SR-16, HK-416, and M4A1 are all pretty much the same but the M4A1 seems to have the best handling of the lot.
SA-58 is more powerful than the rest but less ammo and more recoil isn't worth it compared to how well the 5.56 rifles handle.
The attachments make minor differences but I don't feel it really matters. The only thing I always make sure to use is silencers on the rifles as they are LOUD.
I can't really notice the difference in the game, but in real life HK416 all the time!!!
Thank you so much!
Out of all intermediate cartridge rifles M4 is by far superior because with the setup I mentioned the recoil is also nonexistent, and you get to spray 140 bullets across four mags.
That said I do like running SA-58 because of nice and clean iron sights and because of how powerful and consistent it is - I can be sure stuff will go down in a few shots, and the surfaces will get penetrated. Just today I shot at the door and killed two suspects in a single volley - one behind the door and one behind him. You only get 80 bullets, but it's a good way to learn trigger discipline and ammo conservation.
But to answer your main question. NO, It doesn't matter what gun you use for your primary. It's personal preference. Just land head shots and your golden with anything. SBR-300 in my opinion is the best to use. A little more recoil then the HK but way more stopping power. Also not too bulky for cqb. I use the combat grip. Mainly because it's angled forward and it's smaller than the control grip. Just try different things and see what you like best.
