I get the realism, but if its at the detriment of the gameplay it should be ditched. This flashlight is useless, there are no long-range fire fights that warrant its use.
the nvgs are useless in some places it seems, like the hotel. it's too dark for no nvgs, but not dark enough for nvgs.
Realism is what makes a large part of this game. With that being said in all of my play time I've found the flashlight to be rather good and worth using. I haven't had an issue yet where the cone of the light didn't allow me to see what I wanted to see.
The problem is that flashlights don't work on the enemy. Part of the effectiveness of flashlights at night in CQC is to blind the enemy.
I have no idea if you've actually even bothered to look at videos of real life tactical flashlights but what you're saying is a bit misinformed.

Skip to 1.50.. tell me that cone of vision AND brightness is anywhere near as good as what we have in game right now.
The in game one is hardly even worth using.
I literally use them for real world Police work on a duty rifle. Im very familiar.
As I previous stated, it OBVIOUSLY varies by make and model of light. The M600DF and M600 base are different lights.
