Get out of your bubble. SWAT 4 PVP was (and still is) one of the best tactical PVP games ever made. I've been playing SWAT 4 PVP (VIP Escort mode) since 2007 and I'm still not bored of it. You have no idea how many hours I poured into this game's VIP Escort mode and how much time my team and I spent discussing tactics for our matches (we used to play 5vs5, 6vs6, sometimes even more than that) against other teams, or in the tournaments that were hosted for this game's PVP side. That was just the competitive side of the game, because usually, we would just play on our 16 players VIP Escort dedicated server.
if i type in: "Swat 4 pvp" i found videos in that order:
5 years ago, 4 years ago, 6 months ago, 1 year ago, 5 years ago, 7 years ago, 4 years ago, 1 year ago ...
You know that pvp games with under 200 people at times considered as death right?
I do not want to burst your bubble but face it you are a dinosaur.
Isnt „every game that has no pvp will be forgotten“ also a generalization?
"...and here we see a troll in his natural habitat."
Dun understand why people keep saying ReadyOrNot PVP will fall into Siege. If that so siege has fallen into SWAT4 PVP theme already.
No, like, seriously. He's been on at least four different threads just insulting everyone while providing nothing to the discussion.
Some real bottom of the barrel-tier bait, too. At least he gave me an expensive award for some reason, so there's that lmao.
SWAT 4 PVP was made for 16 players, so it would be 8vs8, not to mention that if we'll be able to host our own dedicated servers, we can put even a higher limit (or lower). That plus modded maps already start sounding amazing. I'm also not a fan of the matchmaking system, so 5vs5 PVP, without dedicated servers, would be pretty rubbish, although I'd have no problem with it as long as we can host our own dedicated servers (separately from the official matchmaking system, just like in Counter Strike) and be able to tinker with the settings (player count, and so on). PVE players would be able to host their own dedicated servers aswell, so it would be a win-win situation.
I'm fine with PVP as long as the base games co-op is first and foremost. As soon as the core game starts to suffer because of PVP, is really the only time I'll be against it.
I go full steam ahead and even say if there will be ever a pvp it will always feel strange and tacked on.
I am also not to confident that this game will really done at any point.
