Well of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ course its expensive, The money is literally to help support the developers. It's not like its a "MUST BUY OMGGGG!!!!!" It's just there if you wanna pitch in with the HRT being a little thank you from them for pitching in
A short paragraph is a "book" to you? Yikes.
When you spend $40 on the game, you are buying the game. You are certainly helping development but the idea behind the supporter edition is to provide a low-pressure way for interested players to more significantly support the project. The extra skins are not really the point and are more of a "thank you" than anything else.
That being said, before you rush to call me a "shill" or some other such nonsense, I didn't buy the supporter edition myself. I stuck with the $40 base game because I wasn't really sure what to expect from the game. Still. I can understand the logic behind the supporter edition and don't really see a need to get all bent out of shape about it even existing. I know that I am not the intended market for that and I am okay with it.
Let's not insert altruism where it isn't. Let's be honest, people buy it for FOMO and to get what it comes with.
