Flashlight not working
Pressing side mouse button to turn on but flickers and stays off. Tried Directx 11 and 12.

You have to go to the weapon attachment bench and add it to your guns

If I didn't have it attached, then I wouldn't have seen the flashlight flicker at all. So let's assume that I had already gone through the proper steps to have it attached to my gun.

By chance do you have a Bluetooth mouse or other wireless mouse of some kind? Because I used to have that issue a lot and discovered it wasn't RoN but an issue with my systems Bluetooth. Basically if my system was handling too many Bluetooth connections it would crash and reboot the driver. At which point any single mouse clicks started being registered as quick double clicks.

I do not have a bluetooth or wireless mouse. I actually don't even have anything bluetooth on my PC. This sounds like an entirely different issue. My flashlight would not work even when I assigned it to a keyboard button. Using insert as the keybind works for whatever reason though.

My reply was intended for Big Latte. But I will file away that insert seems to work for some users who have this issue in situations where it isn't hardware related.

No problem. I was being genuine. Your experience is important information and your solution might help other players down the line.

At this point I don't have anymore issues with it, I have a connected/bluetooth mouse the Dark Core Pro from Corsair in which I keep connected because no matter what bluetooth is too spotty for me. It could have been a driver thing, I've had a few updates on both fronts since the first time experiencing it but I just have it set to my side mouse and have no issue.

Glad things resolved themselves. Personally I think the flashlight toggle works best and is the most intuitive when it's assigned to the side mouse buttons. So it's great things are working.
