Any info about implementation of 7.1 surround ? X-)
@all , reply if you wants too surround sound for Ready or Not X-)
3D audio pre-2000's era, Rampant! BIG! Creative Labs, Sound Blaster, Genius wooden Hi-Fi 5.1 cabinets with massive subwoofers. mid 2000's Stereoscopic gaming 3D Video tech where else if not on PC-Gaming enthusiast segment?
Fast forward 20 years. Not only nvidia silently took out 3D vision, now you play tactical game in stereo sound 2.0.
APPLAUSE peeps! Did you notice discrete sound cards are basically dead. Creative doesnt even make 7.1 anymore. Cheap USB stereo dacs and all RGB various USB virtual surround sound headset market is killing it all.
We're so heading towards more innovation. Independently developed VR is stagnant as well despite all the horsepower todays GPUs and CPUs offer. Nvidia just dont care anymore, they just want $$$$.
To be honest, I'm quite baffled over the tech horsehite of todays age.
FYI I'm super glad that I can care less due to the fact my gaming childhood was fulfilled to a max but gee, youngsters really let themselves be milked for NOTHING nowadays. Especially for all the digital stuff they dont even hold in hand. No innovation but dumbing down the masses. Though devs should seriously think, surround sound was supposed to be implemented before they even wrote the first code of the game. Is it DirectX 11/12 limitation? It'd be nice to know though, since DX11 by microsoft is directly behind killing of stereoscopic vision. Go figure.
Oh man... You wrote it all.
