It's OK when games are difficult. Just means you need to play them, and get better. No I'm not giving you the "get good" bs, but games aren't very difficult anymore these days, not like they used to be. So when people come across a game they struggle with, they scream it's too hard, followed by screaming for nerfs, until the game holds their hand, and gives them their reward. Now, I'm not saying you're doing that of course, just mentioning it because it's rare when people actually admit they're struggling in a video game these days.

Anyways, that being said, just brush up on your CQB skills, and practice practice practice. Learn when and how to use each type of a breach, it's relevant equipment, etc, etc. But above all, practice, and have fun. It's supposed to be hard.

Also. Look at the Realistic AI guide here on steam, it makes some very VERY welcomed changes to the suspecct AI behavior. Haven't met someone yet who doesn't like the game after following that guide and using those settings.

no worries, and trust me, we all struggle. It's the beauty of it all. Not all runs will end with the score of an A or S, some might even end in your death! SWAT work is dangerous work ya know. Cops in real life get caught off guard, or with their pants down all the time in real life, the same as you can, and do in-game. It's just a fact of life in these situations. Just gotta learn the best way to react to them. GO DYNAMIC!! ;)

Good luck and keep kicking doors with your pals.

Also, if it's just you and 1 other person, you're gonna struggle even more. Groups of 5 still struggle to accomplish most missions without someone dying. I'm not even sure if you can lone wolf some of these missions, so 2 is pushing it. I haven't had a chance to play with any of my buddies with just 2 of us yet, so I couldn't say, but I feel like there are some situations where you need all 10 eyes :)

Sometimes it's not just hard but broken (obviously it's still in alpha), like I was playing earlier someone didn't comply so I though you know what I'll take his leg out, proceed to shoot him in the leg and he call of duty 360 no scopes me (more a 180), literally just laughed to myself.

There's things that just haven't been implemented yet like a damage model, and things that need to and I'm sure will be tweaked, that will stop jank deaths.

Key to success:

Recommended equipment
-Mirror gun
-Flash bang
-C4 or Pepper Spray

Before entering a room, use the mirror gun to check for armed suspects and traps. If there is nothing in visual range and you have your doubts, then peek the door and flash bang the room. If there is an armed suspect right in front of the door, you can attempt to flash bang or plant a C4.

Another thing, do not rush, always check your corners and move slowly. You can use 'Q' and 'E' to lean with your weapon.

Always try to seek cover, hug a wall or a corner of a door. Armed suspects sometimes shoot through doors, you wouldn't want to be in the open.

If a suspect is limping from an explosion, quickly point your weapon and press 'F' to taunt. If an armed suspect or civilian is running away, you could pepper spray them and taunt them to surrender.

I’d just like to say no matter how much you’re ready to go through the door there will always be some level of bs waiting on the other side. I had one instance with a chick with a Glock out classed me by putting 3 rounds through the door right after I filled that room with lead with a 416… There’s nothing scarier than seeing a meth head on the other side with a deadly weapon aha
