Why is the m45a1 the 1911 used for RoN? And other questionable weaponry choices.
Ditto. I can't imagine swat or hrt using those surplus pos, unless they've been practically entirely rebuilt. Besides, HRT (and many police who can also buy it) already have a special model of the 1911 made specifically for them: https://www.springfield-armory.com/1911-series-handguns/custom-handguns/1911-professional-45-acp-handgun/

UMP-45 is once again in an "authentic" game despite being virtually extinct in real world usage. The UMP in .40 S&W is however still common in police departments, and even the UMP-9 is more common than the 45 for police and swat.

HK 416? Really? I mean, if the city is supposed to be LA I guess that's accurate because Platoon D of the LA Swat has 416s. Otherwise, a couple of members of the FBI HRT use it.

Where's the sig sauer rifles? The last decade or so, law enforcement rifle sales have been absolutely dominated by the many 556 rifles Sig has been putting on the market. MCX, 516, and even law enforcement specific models are absolutely everywhere. I've even seen the MCX being carried here in Baltimore.

Also, will we get any .40 S&W pistols? Until 2014, that was standard issue at the FBI, and still is used. And it's very common in police departments across the country.

Cod is "just a game." RoN is trying to be authentic.

I would say for reasons of nostalgia, you are right with your post, but the weapon is simply popular for several reasons :zombierunner:

Honestly, I don't disagree, though I'd love to see weapons used by police forces worldwide.

Mainly because I love the SIG SG55X family of rifles and want to get my hands on the 552/553 in more games. lol

Yeah thats another one that should be in the game, the 550 series is still fairly common in police departments.

Military surplus makes its way into swat teams all over the country and equivalents all over the world, that's kind of the point..? Most departments cant afford brand-new equipment, they buy everything at a massive discount from the military. Most SWAT teams aren't even full time and you think they're going to drop $3600 on a sidearm? you've lost your mind.

You're really going to split hairs over it being chambered in .45 instead of .40? The .45 is still produced and used in a number of countries.

It's the standard entry team rifle for HRT and is used by many law enforcement agencies around the world, HRT's version is represented as the MK-1 ingame.

Tons of LEO use the 1911 to this day, as do some spec ops. It’s got a great trigger. Springfield and Sig are absolute ♥♥♥♥ companies. Especially Springfield, they actively tried to betray gun owners. Sig from Exeter makes garbage firearms. Their pistol isn’t even drop safe.

"how could they possibly afford a 3500 gun, they can afford a 3000 dollar surplus piece of ♥♥♥♥ that probably has 50,000 rounds through it already!" I don't think you made the point you thought you were making there.

Next you're going to say that mixing up a tiger tank and panther tank is a perfectly acceptable thing for a historically authentic game to do.

Please feel free to debunk me then. Springfield armory co-operated with the crafting of anti-gun legislation and sig quality control has gone down the crapper over the past several years.
