But I feel like Kairos should've stayed close to Cathay, due to their rivalry >< Giving Cathay a big enemy to deal with. Now, it kinda feels like Cathay has very little ACTUAL competent enemies nearby, and Kairos, whom they worry about all the time, is now continents away XD
Ku'Gath needs to be basically in the heart of the Empire and Brettonia. Put him in one of those mountains between Brettonia and Cathay. Alternatively, maybe put him in the northeast, so he can descend down through Eastern Kislev and into the Empire that borders Sylvania.
N'Kari should start out in the wastes up north, right on the coast, between the Dark Elves and High Elves. Hes equally associated with either. He should have the option to attack any of them.
No. Don't worry, I know that TWW is some kind of a sandbox-strategy game. But still, it doesn't mean the lore can't be respected. The sandbox part is inside the strategy. Not the characters.
That's all I said, I don't approve these choices from CA, and I don't think it will make the game greater.
Plus, even the lore puts these characters as Legendary Lords or Heroes who lead armies or factions.
For example, saying Volkmar leads his known faction, the Cult of Sigmar, is lorefriendly. He is the Grand Theogonist of this cult. Nothing wrong about that. As long as he starts with a positive relation with the Reiklanders, he can lead his own faction.
Saying his story sends him somewhere in the Southern Realms is unlorefriendly. And changing that won't make this game less sandbox. As long as the player can do it if he wants it.
Giving Imrik and Teclis their own factions instead of them leading their kingdoms is lorefriendly since they are on a quest during the end times. Same thing for Gelt. Volkmar doesn't have this kind of excuse for being in the Southern Realms. Neither before, during of after.
The boring part isn't in the gameplay or the universe but in your hands. I played Karl Franz or Kroq-Gar more than 15 times. Each time doing something different without mods. Role-playing helps. Also, it can't be the same thing as TWW 1 & 2. That's fundamentally impossible since there are new races/factions/enemies/allies/gameplay...
Anyway... CA won't change it I know it. You think it's great, I don't. It can be fun, fine, but great : no, I don't think so. We have different minds and that's fine
Just my opinion as a customer and a Warhammer fan.
I just hope that it will be easier to mod startpos...
As long as you have fun with it.
Indeed. Unfortunately, chances are too low
That's too bad but I can understand why CA don't do it.
I guess I'll never see Martrud of Montfort with his own dukedom... instead of belonging to Bastonne...
So am I the only one who can't find news about this?
