Question to narrow this down.
if you load that save after a crash it basically crashes on the same turn or 2-3 turns later, correct?
Yeah, that exactly falls in line with my experience.
Reminds me a bit about the skill panel crash that was a problem previously, I run with mods but these mods worked fine up until latest patch. I have verified game files with no problem.
This is what is written on the latest crash report notepad.

CA, please fix this crashing problem asap. I've tried everything, like seriously and literally.
I did certain potential fixes that were suggested by some internet people, but to no avail, nothing worked, didn't even reduce the frequency of the crashes.
It seems like, currently, the sole hope that we have is the hotfix that is going to be implemented after some weeks.
I hope that CA actually pays serious attention to this crashing problem, because it is incredibly maddening and frustrating to reload the game over and over without making much progress.
Pharao statement:
Hey everyone,
We've just released a minor update for PHARAOH, PHARAOH DYNASTIES and TROY, amending the codebase to avoid game crashes on future operating system updates.
See you on the battlefield!

I don't know exactly what that means, but
at least with Pharaoh there was a statement and a patch. Since I recently had similar crashes in Pharaoh as in Warhammer.
I've tried playing various campaigns again, but it all lead to a crash eventually.
As others have said, the longer the campaign is going, the more likely the crash will occur, but it is also not rare or even uncommon for the crash to occur within the first 10 turns.
I hope that the devs pour most of their focus and efforts in resolving technical issues, before even brainstorming about future dlcs.
