Game Freezes Randomly

As the title says my game freezes entirely randomly. This can happen in the main menu, it can happen on the campaign map or in a battle, entirely random. Upon freezing, I cannot exit the game, ALT F4 does nothing, neither does CTRL, ALT, DEL. I am forced to restart my computer to exit the game upon freezing. Lowering the graphics also changes nothing.

I have verified the files, I have updated drivers and windows and I have even deleted and re-installed the game, nothing changes. I would really love some help.

Here's my rig:
DirectX runtime version: DirectX 12
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
Graphics clock: 2550 MHz

i took one look at your rig and i think its the game not your rig, been broken for me for 3 months now

I would hope that you're right. Shame though, TWW3 is my all-time favourite game.

I have a similar computer build and experience random freeze during the game although I don't crash.. I just have to wait 5ish seconds and it resumes.

and you're not having similar issues with other demanding games? If so this might just be a TWW3 issue.

Seems to b the game running a 3900 Ryzen 9 and a 3070 with same issues.

Yup, I've been playing Warhammer 3 fine since launch. I decided to come back now around the holidays for some Warhammer 3 and got exactly this problem. Only a hard PC reset works. Alt+F4 or Ctrl+Alt+Delete gets me nothing.

I thought it might have been my graphics card packing up, but no. I can play any other and in many cases way more demanding games for hours and I've got no problems. Only TW Warhammer 3.

I've got a 3070. When me and my friend pay a coop campaign (who has a 3080ti) also experienced this, although he is able to Ctrl+Alt+Delete and get out of the black screen crash.

have you guys tried using a driver updating software, like driver booster, to see if other random drivers are out of date?

Thank you for the reply. Tried this, even went back to a previous driver that others said might fix it, nothing. Whatever it is, I doubt it has anything to do with drivers.
