Game crashes a lot after new update

The game keeps crashing after the 5.3 update. I can play for 10 rounds without any issues, but then it suddenly freezes and closes without giving any error. Before the update, I played for 16 hours straight without any problems, but now I can't play for 30 minutes without it crashing. I've tried everything I found online. During this process, I reinstalled the game twice and even formatted my computer and installed everything again.

PC specifications: Ryzen 5 7600X, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM, and the game is installed on an SSD.

My solution:
I have an onboard (Ryzen 5 7600X) GPU. I went into BIOS and disabled it, and boom, the game started working fine. Honestly, I’m not sure exactly what fixed it since all my problems started after the 5.3 update, but disabling the onboard GPU did the trick.

Same, I'm crashing every 3/4 turns when I basically never crashed in prior patches.

Ya, i decided to play this game again. I guess i had to urge to play a big fat goblin. And i have experienced at least 2 crashes so far. Mind you only on turn 16. I had one crash while putting a point in a hero. And another crash on the end screen of a battle. both of which are kinda annoying as i have to redo the entire thing all over again. But ya this seems to be a thing. As i don't recall it crashing this much.

Glad I am not the only one, at first I though I got problem with my game files, was playing previous patch with rolled back option for 200+ turns and no crash whatsoever, decide to updated the game, try the new patch, and now keep crashing out of nowhere.

Finally figured it out! I can play the game without any issues now.

For those who haven’t tried this yet, here’s a quick tip:
Please verify the game cache through Steam:

1. Load Steam.
2. From the Steam Games Library, right-click on the game and select 'Properties' from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the "Verify integrity of game files..." button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
6. We recommend verifying your files twice to make sure all files are fully downloaded.


If nothing else works for you like it didn’t for me, here’s what I did:

I updated with hotfix 5.3.1, verified files twice after that, and I still can't load any of my existing campaigns: the loading screen will show, but the game will crash to desktop as soon as the loading bar is full.
I can start a new campaign but after a few turns it too crashes to desktop at the end-turn, and I can't load the campaign anymore after that, it will crash to desktop again when the loading bar is full.
I'm not using any mods.
What can I do, if I still want to play this game?

thats 101 practice for any crash and most ppl just don't do it before complaining
