Friend and I cannot play multiplayer due to Host not responding error
I have seen many forums and found only solutions we have already tried. I will list them.

I tries hosting the game without a password.

We are using the same mod, Just Good Babysitter.

We entered the code manually instead of copying and pasting.

I tried sending an invite and even right clicking on his profile and clicking join game.

We verified the integrity of the game files.

We are both on PC with the only difference being our OS. I am using Linux and he uses Windows 10. The Linux distribution I use is PopOS.

Other thing to note, online games are not visible to me. This is also the case when I disable the mod. This is not the case for my friend.

I cannot find any other resource that has helped and I am hoping I can get some answers here. Any help to fix this or even suggestions you throw out there would be greatly appreciated. We have been eager to play with each other and got annoyed when this issue prevented us from doing so.

UPDATE: Thanks to Tommytools for the fix. Using Proton worked. I will be looking at ProtonDB even when a game has native linux support from now on. Thank you so much.

TW:WH3 for windows is made by CA, the Linux version by Feral interactive. Your game versions have to match, and they can be different because Mac/Linux patches often lag behind in many games.

If your versions match, try playing a vanilla MP campaign before attempting anything modded. When you do attempt a modded MP campaign, make sure the mod versions match to minimize the chance of connection issues.

If vanilla works, but modded doesn't, your only option is to contact the mod author and hope they have a solution for you.

Gotcha. I will look into this further. Thank you. I will post my findings here.

Sorry for not getting back to you right away, but have you tried what Tommytools posted? It worked for me.
