Game keeps freezing
I've been playing a little of the game but it keeps freezing, the audio will still play though as if the battle is still going on.
I've reinstalled the game already but it still freezes, is there anything in the game settings that can help?
Thanks

Got the same issue. Game freezes on campaign map and then shuts down. Windows log show its a kernal 142 error that usually has to do with GPU

I use a geforce 1080 ti

Anyone tried playing while having turned off Hardware acceleration? i heard that can work and has done with other programs in the past for people

I tried turning hardware accelaration off. Doesn't make a difference. Also tried everything the support suggested and played arround with graphics settings. Still no luck.

I removed my undervolt and it seems to have fixed the issue

Same issue with 3080 12 Gb. Game freezes in battle, the sounds are working but the picture is freezed. Interesting that i playing as Slaanesh champion Azazel, when I played as Ogre Kingdoms all was fine.

I know this is very obvious, but please try updating your drivers, friend had a similar problem and doing this fixed it.
I don't even know what to say to your suggestion jackie... Please... we are desperate. Don't make fun of us.

Anyone else having any luck with a fix?

I never tinkered with the standard settings of the GPU so can't use that fix unfortunately.

No persons PC config is the same.
Many dif problems have similar symptoms and new problem identification requires specific details of the problem(s) and the persons pc config. (cause also may be more than one problem)

Without detailed system/problem info getting support from experienced person will not be possible or very difficult. (trying to get a quick fix answer here most likely result in no fix)

My suggestion:
This post has a troubleshooting baseline todo and a template to aid diagnostics to anyone with experience to help you(just doing this may also fix your problem).

I would also advise to use support forums , not steam , as you will need to provide diag files/screenshots etc which you can't do easily here (and you may also find solutions here already)

I have a i7 6700k with a 1080 gfx card and initially I was able to reach around turn 60 when it started to go sour for me with random crashes. Now, a new campaign doesn't even get to turn 10 before crashes happen.

I tried everything listed in this forum and found through the official forums. Nothing worked.

Eventually I decided to fire up WinRE and reinstalled Windows, keeping my personal files.

This seemingly fixed the crashes. Started a new campaign; I'm around turn 50 and no crashes yet and the performance has increased as well.

I know reinstalling Windows isn't perhaps an option for everyone, but it seemed to help me and I'm glad I did it.

Yeah I'm afraid I'm heading to the reinstall windows route.

I have had daily interactions with SEGA support for two weeks now. They've looked at my setup, my windows installation, my drivers, dxdiag, you name it. Nothing.

Warhammer Total War 3 is the only game that crashes on my system so I'd rather not have to...

I updated my windows to the latest version as it never did and since then ive had 0 crashes or lockups like i was getting. I was on H1H1 and now im on H1H2 so check peeps see if you are on H1H2 and if not upgrade to that and see if it still keeps happerning. Also if you are running mods turn them off and check that aswell.
