Did you unsubscribe from the mods, too?
Or they will just redownload...
Any mod with a script you should disable after updates. Wait for those type of mods to be updated for sure.
Also, in preferences script you might want to try this:
gfx_fullscreen false; # gfx_fullscreen <bool>, Run the application in fullscreen or not #
13th line.
Then set graphics a=s you like ingame. As it should load then. If can't boot the game.
Really, really important!!! ^^^
I have never had to reinstall ANY Total War Title, ever...
And I own all except Troy. Because it miffed me they did a deal with sEPtIC.
Win 10 overspec machine has no issues.
Verifying game files does nothing.
Edit: Well, it hasn't happened since I updated my AMD drivers from ones cira mid June to mid August. Forgetting the basics I guess. Did a couple of other things too, so cant be certain it was that. Or if it is fixed permanently.
Edit 4 (2 weeks later): Has not been fixed by 1.1
So, first of all verify game intergity or reinstall game anew(do not forget to remove game folder \Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer3 if you reinstall it). I suspect that crash corrupt game files, so this step is mandatory for me.
Second: close every application on you PC and stop any that run in background. I have only Steam and Windows Defender running.
Third: Turn Windows Defender firewall off(the one marked "Active"). This leaves you vulnerable, but since there is no any other applications that could possibly use internet connection it could be fine. Do not forget to turn it on later
Probably same effect can be achieved by some Windows Defender tuning and it would be great to know how.
