Game Crashing At Campaign Load

This is happening for all campaigns.

I have tried the following.

Restart System
Update Drivers
Lower game graphics settings
looked for "aaa_movie_df_toggle_chaos_realm" It is not on my computer.
Removed all mods manually
Verified cache integrity multiple times.
I've checked Modified.txt, it is empty.

It consistently gets about 85% thru the load bar for starting a campaign, and crashes to desktop.

I'm at my wits end, I'm not sure what else could be causing the problem.

I don't even get to a progress bar. I hit play or continue campaign and it dies.

Are you trying to play an old campaign? In which case that is unlikely to work with the overhaul the game has been through from 1.3 to 2.0

Doubt the old campaigns are compatible. They tend to not work after a big update.
Secondly, a campaign that won't load for the first time tends to be a mod issue - disable all mods and retry.

Nope, and no mods. Will try disabling DLC later, then check more threads in Tech Issues & Support (where I should have started looking in the first place, apologies for cluttering general discussions.)

I deleted all old saves, its a new attempt on all campaigns

see above, no mods installed, folders are empty of possible mod files

Interesting, im having quite the opposite problem. campaign works fine but any battle i load crashes me to desktop at around the 90-95% mark.

Fixed. Checked files. I had extra 36 gb missing...

I have the same issue but not until the end of the loading bar. I'm reinstalling to my solid state (which I was planning to do anyway) to see if that will fix it. I'll leave an update if it does.

Update: Reinstallation worked for me.
