Comic Con x Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale: Featuring 1000 Deaths

1000 Deaths is being showcased on the Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale!

Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale is India’s first and biggest celebration of indie games on Steam. Accompanied by an on-site showcase in partnership with Comic Con Mumbai, this event aims to bring together Indian indie devs and global publishers, and provide a platform for Indian indies to showcase their incredible work.

We showcased 1000 Deaths this past weekend at the Indie Game Utsav section of Comic Con Mumbai. Welcomed publishers, fellow indie devs, and an enthusiastic audience to our booth at the festival where they tried out the 1000 Deaths Demo. It was a fantastic experience, and we would love to be back!

The Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale is live from 10th to 20th April, with a front-page feature from 18th to 20th April!

What platforming mechanics can you expect in 1000 Deaths?

Let’s get down to what platforming abilities you can use in 1000 Deaths! You can play 1000 Deaths using the keyboard and mouse or the controller— whichever you prefer.

It’s pretty simple, straightforward, and tons of fun.

Look Around
You can shift your camera angle to get a better idea of where you need to go.

Run
What is a platformer without the ability to run? That’s just basic movement.

Jump
Jump to avoid obstacles like lava balls in your path. You can also hover by holding.

Dash
Propel forwards or escape narrow spots with Dash— and get a dash of sparks!

Updash
Combine Jump and Dash to give yourself a boost.

Gravity
Gravity orients to the surface you walk on. But be careful, it doesn’t work everywhere!

So, these are the main abilities in the platforming section of 1000 Deaths. There are a few more, but we’ll leave you to discover those as you play!

Loved the demo

No idea where I found out about this game but I got a notice that the demo was available so I tried it! I was unsure about the game before downloading but it was really fun. I loved exploring the overworld area for secrets, and I think it's going to be interesting seeing the different branching paths. I did want to note that the achievements in the demo didn't work for me. Anyway, looking forward to when this game comes out!...
