its pad + kb you can use controller config at steam big picture to map the kb to your 2nd controller

You are certainly not. Any time a friend and I tried, it made us both control the same player. I refunded it because if they're not going to get something as absolutely basic as controller support for a 25 year old console game, they don't deserve my money. And that's even with being willing to overlook how absolutely jank the title screen is, and removing the level intros.

you have to config the controller to output the keyboard button the game has player2 assigned to, you can use steam big picture mode for that

Can you explain how to do this? I have this issue alot with other games on steam, and you seem very knowledgeable about this. Can you write it step by step how to do it? Or a guide you wrote on how to do it? Thank you in advanced! I prefer you tell me step by step please. Last time i tried to do something in big picture mode, it actually crashed my whole pc, and my friend's pc who was hosting another game.

you need to set the keybindings for the second controller in big picture modus and set every button for player 2 according to the keybord settings

So exactly how do you do this? Can you explain it in more detail and step by step? I do not use big picture mode very much, and last time i did use it, it completely crashed my pc. Sorry to ask you of this, but i am confused still.
