theHunter: Call of the Wild.
theHunter: Classic is also good but it's a lot older.
Hunting Simulator 2 has a great opportunity here, if they are serious about creating a great hunting game. They can take all of the feedback from the content creators who have been playing it or they can launch it with all of the weaknesses and completely fail at providing a good alternative to the Hunter series. Time will tell.
1. No apparent impact on the animal when it is shot other than to run away.
2. No apparent recoil from the rifles.
3. Unless I've missed it, no day/night cycles.
4. No need/feed/rest zones. How do you know where the animals travel or if they just spawn?
5. The stupid red hit marker. It makes it into an arcade game instead of a simulator.
6. Some of the animal models don't look right to me. Maybe it's the fur or size of the animal.
The positives are:
1. Nice looking world.
2. Really nice looking weapon models.
3. Nice 3rd person view, although the running animation is meh.
4. Love the dog.
5. I like the idea of the licences.
6. I like the tracking system.
They can easily fix the negatives if they so choose. Time will tell.
