i read a guide that mentions what notes to play im just curious how you are supposed to figure it out.

I'm softlocked and the dev won't respond despite soliciting reports of softlocks, and I'm trying to decide whether I should just open the save folder to wipe everything and start from scratch. Is there any kind of meta-progress saved between runs that I would lose by doing that? I never got to the point of getting the map that I've heard people talk about so am I good to just delete everything?...

Has anyone figured out how to use the scroll found in the chest in the rainforest? (northeast from the east end of the chasm) you can read about it in the library and the closest ive got is "EAT YOUR DICE" then after that i just die. any ideas?
