Did we see the same ending? The game closed out with a massive cliffhanger leaving the door wide open for DLC.
There has been no word from the developers for close to a year - not even a "Thank you for playing - we've concluded development on this title" and no mention of a sequel.

Also i get a 404 error just now if i try to open the official website "https://kingsbounty2.com/en/"? That didn't happen a few days ago. Seems like the game is even "deader" now.
Until I actually finished the game myself I would have agreed with you. However if you bothered to finish the game you'd realize they intentionally left the story unfinished in preparation for a future DLC. Said DLC never came and at this point probably never will...
Actually the site is under reconstruction, remove the /en part and you will see.
I played the original for a wee bit thought it was pretty solid but didn't play it that much or got far.
