Underground Train back and forth
Hello everybody, I am new in the game and I meet the following problem. I have built a small underground which is consisted from 9 stations. Everytime where the train reach the last station and it is expected to continue to the opposite direction, does it indeed, goes to the 1st station, but it returns again back to the last station and then it continues again, this time correctly to the next stations. Does anybody knows why is happens that? TY

There can be several reasons. Perhaps the line is not correctly set, or the specific order, and it may also be this is how the track is configured. The easiest thing may be to post your network into the shared games cloud (in the game select Share game) and post a link here, either I or someone else can look at it and find out what is happening and suggest a fix.

it is most likely a signalling error, or tracks that accidentally aren't connected.

There is the link:

it is a 3 station map but does exactly the same...

The train is doing exactly what you are asking it to do. At the terminus stations, you are telling it to first stop on one platform, then stop in the other platform, of the same station. Trains do not teleport between platforms. This means it needs to find a way to reverse and go back into the station to stop in the platform you told it to.

If you don't want this behavior, configure your lines so terminus stations only have one stop.

Do you have something to suggest? Since you are in the developing team your suggestion will be accurate and into the point

I gave you a detailed explanation for the behavior you observed and my last sentence is an suggestion on how to change it.

You are not very helpful but I will see what can I do. Thank you for your effort.

@mars_petrakis, you should remove either station 3 or station 4 from your line. You don't really need the train to stop on both sides of the same platform before it goes back.

Alternatively, if you want the train to stop at both sides of this station, you need to add track to allow the train to move to the other side. Typically in underground it is done by adding an extension of the tunnel past the last station of the line. You have a bit of an extension there, but it is not long enough to allow your train to go into it and then come back to the other track (and also has one-way signals on it that would disallow using it). See e.g. screenshot how I set up underground line ends where the train goes into the dead end past the station.

It's OK I found the answer in a site. A small branch should be built for the train to make the maneuver. TY Adlet
