Long distance trains have few passengers
Hi. I created an ICE train between Dresden and Leipzig. There is one tram connected to a station. But seem to ride only from stations only and using trams as a last mile travel. How do I make them use my ICE more with a transfer to a tram?

Interbal for trams around 4-7 minutes and 15 minutes for ICE. Here is a screenshoot:

It can be a lot of things.

How many people are in the vicinity of the stations? How big are they, are they connected to the tram lines (i.e. there's only one name for the station)? How long have you let the line run? Are the intervals and leg times correctly set?

Try uploading the save to a file sharing service (Google Drive, Dropbox, those sites) and share the link here, I will take a look.

* The problem is, that people do not use trams to get to an ICE

One thing to remember is that it's only 10% (I think) of pax that want to go more than 100km so depending on the total number of pax that enter your network, it may be logical that your long distance trains only have a small number of pax

Yes. But it's not the problem. People do not use connections at all. There are passengers to Pirma from Erfurt (so take an ICE than S bahn), or in the subrubia of Erfurt there are passenegrs to Dresden HBF (tram then ICE). But thery are not being taken from the station. So people do not board the first train/tram.

I just looked closer and passnegers, that need to have a connection just disappear! So that's my problem!

I can see people using trams and transfering into and out of Leipzig and (both) Dresden stations. I cannot see where's the problem. Can you specify exactly what are you seeing?

So. First picture - 1 person waiting for an ICE to Dresden Hbf or Neustadt to then take S Bahn to go one stop to Dresden Mitte (ICE doesn't stop at Mitte). Train arrives, takes passengers, all people to Dresden disappear, incl. to Mitte, but only to Hbf or Neustadt appears on a train! And it happens all the time.

Other 2 pics is the same situation. Grosser Ackerhof in Erfurt. Person wants to take an ICE to Erfurt Hbf to then take one stop by a tram. ICE arrives, person disappears at a staion, but does not appear in a train.

Basicly, ICE carries passaengers only to train stations, where it stops, but not the passengers, that need to continue journey with something else.

The train window by default groups pax by next stop, and the station window by default groups pax by destination. Change the train window to "group by destination".

Sorry a totally off topic question... how can I input a small screenshot inside a post like this?

After you take the screenshot (F12 I think?) Steam let's you upload it, and then you paste here the link it gives to you.

Okay.. I was puzzled by the fact only seeing the picture and no link to the place for the actual picture.

Thanks for your response.
