How should I be signalling terminus stations?
Hi, I am having some trouble properly signalling terminus stations.

What I have been doing is placing a pathing signal at the entrance of the station facing inward, meaning that trains can path to their platform when it is possible.

Then for each terminus platform I have built a pathing signal facing outward to allow trains to depart after they have loaded and assuming the path is clear.

For some reason this does not work. If a train is waiting for some time in the platform, and another train is using the same platform, the pathing signal at the entrance to the station will allow it to pass, and it will stop just before the outward facing platform signal and create an alert and block the path. Then I have to use an intervention to clear it.

Is the issue that I have been incorrectly setting up the outbound pathing signals? For some reason they are set to "bounds other signals - always". If I set it to "same direction only" will that fix the issue?

Same direction only should fix that issue

Also, beside setting them to "same direction only", make sure on the "exit" tracks you place a block balise or block signal+balise, this way you will operate at max capacity, else, trains will not clear until next signal, which could be all the way down.

Thank you, I think I've sorted it out now!
