I can't sign in?

So I downloaded this game maybe 30 minutes ago, and I can't seem to log in. It instructed me to create a new account, so I did. When I entered my "username" (it did not instruct me to make one, so I instead used my email) and password, it told me it could not connect to the internet, and that I should check to see if my computer was connected. Well, it's connected fine, I can promise you that.

When I went on the Fallen Earth section of GamersFirst, I found an "account" section. There, I found an actual username, which was a series of letters, numbers, and dashes. I entered this in along with my password (which the site reassured me was the same as my GamersFirst account, which I can sign into perfectly fine with no errors) and could still not connect.

Is there maintanance going on right now or something? I just created my account and just downloaded the game for the first time, so I might be missing something, but everything should be working. I verified it through email and everything. Is there some kind of procedure I am forgetting to do, because I was not told I needed to do anything else?

*sigh* Yes, I can see that now. In another thread, someone mentioned that there is maintenance every thursday. I have no idea why the launcher would not inform you of this, or why they wouldn't at least let you log in to reassure you that it is not your own error causing the connection issues.

Mates, did you all have an account with any games of their company http://www.gamersfirst.com

Because if you do then you don't need to recreate a new one and also when you click "play" from the Steam and the launcher shows up, just click that you want to enter with your Steam account (be sure that the Steam account box in the FE launcer shows that it is ticked) and then at right hand side of the launcher click "Launch" and let it to check and download any files (sometimes it might freeze and you will have to re-start the launcher and do the same and the loading will start).

I'm having an issue - I have downloaded the game and tried to set up a new account. I get an email to validate my email address, but when I click on the link it takes me to a gamersfirst page saying 'sorry - page cannot be found'. Any ideas ?

Yes, don't create account from that pop up box as for a reason it doesn't work.

Just go to their website and make the account.

Then when you click the "Play" from your Steam library just close the pop up account box and accept to log in the game with your Steam account when the launcher will ask you for (also be sure that Steam account box on their launcher is ticket.

ive tried to login to the game and cant. ive logged into their web site and the launch game. selected steam account entered that info and says invalid account or password. uuggghhhh

Ok, someone tell me what to do - I'm having the same issue. Game asks for a username and passoword - I made an account but it doesn't seem to be functioning. How do you sign up/in to play this game?
