Singleplayer? Is this true?
I noticed this game is tagged with the singleplayer tag. Does it have the option to play in an offline world?

Also, is it really free? I doubt both of these things. Probably just another yucky MMO.

1. No. It's an online MMO.
2. It is free, but you are very limited unless you at least buy something 1 time at the marketplace to become "freemium". Really good to play is it only with a subscription.
3. It is a very interesting MMO, but nearly dead now.

Not to argue, but its not nearly dead at all. I have not been playing all that long myself, but a group of 35 of us NooBs to this have formed a clan, while still meeting new folks everyday. There are a lot of people in the game, seems most dont play through steam but the client site.
Granted, it is not packed to the point of server overload, but the only zones so far that are not populated are the PvP only ones. They have peeps in them, but you dont see swarms unless they are zerging for something
Also, yes it is F2P, but your not that limited before you become a Freemium or a Premier. Basically as a free player you just suffer in your crafting speed at only 80% and you can only carry so much in game money. You can see all the actual differences here:

Should also note, that the F2P is really F2P not F2Win, nothing you buy in the shop can make you super Uber.

Hey hey all! Yes, take advantage of that if you can. Hey is pretty handy to have to help out. :D
I already deleted the game. I started it up, seen the login screen, and then decided it obviously has no singleplayer. xP

And whats your problem? Than play it online, but for yourself?
I just don't want to bother with yet another MMO. You can play alone at first but you will eventually need help beating the harder enemies later on so I don't see the point in trying to play an MMO style game by myself.

Nice to hear that new people come into the game. I played it a long time.

But i hardly doubt that someone comes far with only 10r money limit and a single item crafting queue. As a freemium you have at least a 3 item queue and loose the money limit, that's in my eyes the absolute necessity, as this game is very crafting based, and later 10r is a joke. Also you gain access to the global channel, which is a necessity too.
But afaik you need only a purchase of $5 at their marketplace for freemium status, so this isn't the world. WIth freemium status you can play this game in a good way.

The lots of people i also hardly doubt. Population is concentrated in Sector 3, level 30+.
Last time I played even the big locations in S1 like Embry Crossroads or Kingman were empty. In S2 was it a bit better, but still not really many people, even New Flagstaff wasn't really populated. The few people you met were mostly fastleveling Twinks.

It is more or less dead as the company does nearly nothing anymore for the game,
the server becomes more and more instable, and normally new people are driven away by
bugs, lags, server downs, outdated missions, aso; while the old playerbase leaves more and more cause of bugs, lags, server downs and that new content like the Outpost isn't released.

It is really sad, cause FE is the only real sandbox MMO I met so far and is basically a fantastic game in Fallout style. Gamersfirst destroyed it. May they burn in hell ;)

You actually get quite a bit for the "First-Time Purchaser's Package".

"The package includes:

Character Slots set to Four (permanent)
25% Harvest Speed Booster (1 hour per use, 5 uses)
10% Crafting Speed Booster (1 hour per use, 5 uses)
25% Death Toll Booster (1 hour per use, 5 uses)
20% XP Booster (1 hour per use, 5 uses)
25% Salvage Speed Booster (1 hour per use, 5 uses)
25% Faction Booster (1 hour per use, 5 uses)
Surviving Shades sunglasses
Wardrobe Slot Unlock: Core (permanent on single character)
W.H.I.S.P.E.R. Mobile Stable Manager (5 uses)
V.A.L.E.T. Mobile Garage Manager (5 uses)
Access to Global Chat (Account-wide, permanent)
Chip Limit Removed (Account-wide, permanent)"

~Taken from the gamer's first website

All you need to do to get the package is spend a minimum of $5 for G1 Credits and buy something from the micro-shop.

if with "yucky MMO" you mean that you can't do anything without paying, it's not true becuase at the marketplace you can only buy cosmetic stuff and nothing that could make your life a lot easier (besides XP boosts, but XP is easy to do on it's own).
Also it's not dead as many people still play.

from my perspective, i pretty much played the game as if it was SP with no problems. i do enjoy the occasional interaction with other players, so thats fine with me, but i never felt like i HAD to get involved with other players if i didn't want to.

I have played this game and it sucks the devs even told me that they would not change one system or update it. If they have then it still sucks all the critics are dumb for even allowing this game to succeed. F2P has garbage in it therefore it has garbage coming out. I am glad my character is deleted. ♥♥♥♥ the devs and GM's!!!
