Old time player lost account

Hi, i used to play this mmo a long time ago and loved it. but i am being asked to make a new account os this correct has the game been totally reset?

there r still animal lockboxs in game so u can get some pets from them but ya crab is gone

i dunno i was in beta but never got a code maybe i was not in beta long enuf for it. i did try my preorder horse and that did not work :(
