Going to play ABP again

Well, thought I'd jump into APB again. I first played back when it was a pay/full version game (I pre-ordered it) and played until the game died. Then when it became APB Reloaded I played again, a lot.

Now it's been a very long while since I've last played (read: more than a year), but here I am, installing as I type this. I'm hoping the game is still fun and I don't mind the competitive gameplay.

It's really a hit or miss game I find.
I enjoy it, some rage here and there, but I've had a number of friends who've tried to pick it up and uninstalled spitting curses.

APB has really changed ALOT in a way ever since it was called APB:reloaded.

Are hackers still ass raping the game? I mean I was pretty average when I played. And I know I got rolled by players who were just way better than me a lot. That said, I was constantly getting matched against the same 5 players that were blatantly cheating, the kind of players that you could go AFK in a random building 1000 meters from the point and they'd find you and kill you anyways, on a defend mission. If it wasn't them it was some 1 bullet guy who afked like 50 missions and waited for a mission against a gold player and would crank the ♥♥♥♥ to 11 and pub stomp just to ♥♥♥♥ up the threat system. Just really stupid ♥♥♥♥.
