Dethreating high ranks is a BIG issue
to the apb devs fix this plz. im sick of seeing golds who barely dethreat to silver that is rank 100+ and join bronze. bronze is a near new player district for people to learn the game. not get smash every single mission due to overpowereds who cant fight there own so has to dethreat.

My suggestion revamp the districts to levels, not threat. it will stop the dethreating nonsence have 70 lvls or so per district color.

This is why apb is lossing. new players come to bronze and see the overpowered idiots and dont want to play anymore. only reason im still here is due to me beeing here on and off for the last year. i like this game i just dont like how idiots running arround rank 200+ is most i see ( in bronze ) another issue is the damn osmor no new player whome is bronze can get it so why should they have to deal with it beeing new players. if i were a dev i would expect to get new players and keep the game alive. not let the new players expecience this nonsence of fighting people way more geared than themselves

ya they will have the trheat if u set to levels.but they wont have the gear no one else can even get for long long time.

Ranks means nothing in this game.

I've played against R255's who play like Bronzes and that means that they "SUCK BIG TIME" I've played R50's who play like Golds and roll Teams of R200+'s.

Segregating Districts by Rank will mean people will just not level up and still roll other players just based on exp. This would fail and kill off whatever is left of the "Toxic Community"

Sigh high lvl ranks have unlocks and unlocked weapons no others have. ( facepalm ) so unless ur a P2W or a high rank. ya alot of people getting annoyed about the high ranks in bronze

This problem has been discussed ad nauseum. The devs are aware of the problem. I don't believe it would be any more fair doing it the way you just proposed. There are statistics available for other games (Battlefield 4) that show that time spent playing has no correlation with how good you are. I know its counter-intuitive, afterall you'd think that the more time a player has, or the higher their rank, the better you'd think theyd be. But the statistics just don't show that. The scatterplot of "time played" vs "score", "skill level", or any other metric you can think of, is just a giant splatter on the graph like someone got all jackson pollock with it. always with a near zero correlation.

The reason is beacsue different players become more skillful are vastly different rates. Some players could play forever, and be max rank for 2 years before they show improvement. and some players show sharp increases in skill directly as they advance. Therefore matchmaking based on rank would be all over the place. which is how the game is now, so it wouldn't be an improvement.

The only solution is a complete redesign of the whole threat system, or doing away with it altogether and changing it to something else. No one has put forth a feasable alternative to my knowledge.

atleast its a fix better than what it currently is, so even if they just did what i stated it would be a hell of alot better for not than what the game currently is
and also btw may allow new plays to enjoy the game .... u know, for more irl money to the devs ( wink wink )

atm ive incited many my steam friends into this game and they almost insta leave due to this, so atleast i tryed to indrocude new people. but even there not interested when there litterly new yet seeing 100+ ranks
