How to Gold to Silver ?

Hey guys how can I gold to silver so I can @ least play with my bronze friend ?

Came back to the game to play with a friend and I guess cuz of my old rank after an hour I got gold. Now I can't get rid of it. It seems hard to get lowest score in the party and I was told 0 score doesn't coun't. I'm lost. Any advice before I new account ?

I highly reccomend you do not kill your team or suicide or stun your team or do anything negative that results in a demerit on your character. Demerits do not help you in your request.

You should also play in a populated silver server.

Purposely dropping your threat level (Otherwise known as dethreating) is a heavily shunned upon act. If your skill level makes you a gold threat, you're only hurting the game by trying to get down to silver in order to join bronze districts.

If you want to play with your friend, join a silver threat district and instruct your friend to join it, too.

While dethreating can create an imbalance within a specific district as far a skill goes I do not think it is always wise to play in silver simply because you became a gold.

With changes implemented over the past year or more it has become far to easy to earn the "gold" threat in this game.

To obtain gold you simply have a score that averages out to around 1000 over a count of 20 missions.

I think this number should be more around 1700.

A completly new player who does not help in any way in a mission be they checking mail or driving around looking at the game CAN earn a very nice score due to the awarding of points to all players on the team when an objective is completed.

I myself, in some missions, have had scores over 2000 points and I did nothing meaningful in the mission but kill one player.

This serves to lower the bar so much that their last changes to threat "tiers" has been diluted to be almost a useless indicator of skill when considering the abilities of a player simply because they are a "gold".

Personally I think it is okay if a player, who is fairly new and has obtained gold, dethreats to a silver to continue playing in Bronze.

They will most certainly find players there that are still a very skilled match to themselves and a little more practice before visiting the more difficult Silver threat Server would be time well spent if they feel they do not have a good grasp on the game yet.

Oh, I never said that the threat system was good to begin with, I just think that if you're good enough to maintain gold threat constantly, you should reconsider purposely dethreating.

But yeah, the system's been messed up for a long time. I like the old tiered system they had on RTW.

With the current system / population I suppose unless I missed something Its best to be in silver anyways. 3 populated lobby types and silver is the only one that can join all 3. So if you want to play with your new bronze friends or join your pro gold friends you are free to do whatever you want.

After thinking of how the system could be better for APB I failed to think of how it could work better. I looked to GTA5 and how that works.

GTA5 are just servers full of people 100% no fk given to skill/ping nothing.

GTA5 match making 100% random. You join a pvp match it random teams no fk given about your KDA or skill or if half your team are on VOIP together in a squad.

The Current APB systems feels alot more punishing then GTA could ever feel. Everywhere I go in APB are people trying to alter there ranks some way or another... to bronze or to gold the entire game unless with a squad feels fked and ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If they removed ranks how would everyone feel ? If match making was 100% random would it not be pretty much how it is now anyways. With max rank 4000h players chilling in bronze lobbys able to even join green lobbys like are you fking kidding me ?

APB ranking is utter ♥♥♥♥... and if someone wants to de threat for whatever reason there is only one company to blame. There is no way to stop what ppl are trying to do and becuase of it and we will never live in a perfect APB.

So why not help people with the least harmfull ways to get what they want to maybe lessin the bad effects of them trying it on there own.

I dunno honestly I give up... I'm going to play some warframe :P

This already exists. It's called an Open Conflict District, where rank is not accounted for, and everyone plays with everyone. Alternatively, the PvP districts also act in the same manner.

Is... That a RWBY Profile Picture?!? Holy crap, someone else here who watches RWBY. Anyways, De-threatening as previously stated is highly imbalancing to the game. If you are a good player, you should not be playing with the noobs to wreck them. Just tell your friend to work on getting guns and money to get up to Silver or Gold Threat level.

My issue with my gold is that my rank did not decay over the years and I should not be getting gold using the starting rifle because people are dic'ing around in missions. I see many compaints about this and now I am on that boat and don't want to have to fail play to be where I belong. Anyone with RPG's and nade launchers and legendarys can school me yet I continue to get top scores wile trying to do bad with the damn starter rfile and starter car... its just not fair and seems there is nothing that can be done. I suppose the best bet is smurf account. Its what people do in all popular games. I only wish everyone would do this to avoid the bs on missions. I rather play vs rank 50 bronze pro's then max rank 1000's of hours bronzes.

But enough complaining for now... I guess it is this way 4ever and I guess suggesting to smurf to people wanting to dethreat would be best.

Yea but the Low level players are giving a chance to defend themselves. Since they can already buy a better assault rifle than the unlike in APB. Since you can buy a guided missle launcher, assault rifles and mines from the beginning. Unlike in APB where your pretty much stuck for a long time with bad weapons.

It's noob thing. Try to still gold. If you play vs golds you will be better. ^^
