why would they use a different anticheat for a different server?

different host different armas marketplace, differnet game build, differnet company hosting.
they were full of themselves and thought their anticheat was better than anything the west had come up with but the reality was the cheat developers did not know/care about innova until 1 developer decided to make a cheat and literally exposed how much of an epic fail the frost anticheat actually was

I booted up just to see if the anti-cheat worked and saw an obvious hacker in my first mission. Never missed, always knew where everyone was, super low level but already gold. You know how it is.

maybe its just me as some one who USE to be quite decent at the game and tried to really understand every bit of movement tech and all possible uses for each gun such as damage fall off and minimum click time for perfect accuracy but i dont see many people i would just call cheaters in this game. lots of dedicated long time players with alt accounts for fun who are just really good at the game. of course there will be cheaters here and there. im just thinking its not as many as people try to make it sound like. the unfortunate truth [and one that really didnt help this game stay more populated] is that the skill ceiling in this game is very high. you can get VERY good at this game. cheaters tend to just rely on the aimbot to do the killing but most players here show a good understanding of the map. what angle to take and how to approach every spot. with a game like this. people will figure out how to get you to spawn where they want and then seek you out instead of waiting for you to come to them. its nuts how in depth you can really get with this games mechanics and i think at the end of the day. this is why the people who are good stay. like we all say, its very unique game which is why it refuses to die. right?

I dont know. just my thoughts. either way, im downloading it again so i hope to see you all in game.

See that doesn't work either Hunt: Showdown has the same issue and it's a $40 game.

How this is gotten around are CDKey sellers, buying the game up for dirt cheap on sales and selling them for like $5 over on other sites. It does indeed make it harder but let me look on a few of those sites RIGHT NOW to see what the $40 Hunt can go for at this moment.

Yea it can become expensive really quick and might stop some of the casual cheaters but the big names like what we had back in the day here on APB those guys have WAY TOO MUCH disposable income.

Goat for a good example always had some Armas stuff on his toons even after having rerolled a fresh account... he could and would do the same to just buy the game again so he can boost his own sad little ego for a few bucks.... do it for about a week before he gets caught... and then buy another the next week.

This is also true... I used to be fairly competent at this game regularly Gold and having a blast...

There are BLATANTS like one Mr. Goat... but then there are others, like the ENTIRE CLAN of W.A.S.P. who were just actually good at the game. SOME members did cheat at one point I think but that wasn't ALL of them... groups like H.U.R.T., W.A.S.P., and Sons of Anarchy Latin were just dudes who spent FAR too much time in the game.

Have fun... i'm hopping in soon-ish myself to see what the hoopla is all about... Miss this game and wish that I had something like it now... but all I have are memories and disappointment.

You can try it but I dont trust it and they already have track record of falling to keep cheaters at bay in the russian version of apb. I'll wait when they bring back Battleye.

Should of went with EAC over SARDS if you're going to force people to use a kernel level anti-cheat.

EAC is too easy to bypass. SARD is an AI kernel based AC and thereby has more potential
