Pretty sure there are multiple servers. Matt was talking about a server merge in the AMA but more likely it'll be cross server matchmaking.

EDIT: Whatever server I'm on is full dead. 40 players max in matchmaking, and most of em just stand around, or are hacking. Social is forever empty now.
