With barely 400 players online though, wouldn't be shock if the game shut down. One of the worse decisions that Gamerfirst made in the past was to get rid of the old threat system, and second downgrade the graphics. The visuals in the new engine doesn't even look better than RTW visuals.
Guess what? The old devs never updated visuals on a single map or the graphics engine, the game has all but died and now were suppose to believe the new owners are going to waste their money and time massively upgrading a game that I cant imagine makes them any money at this point...
What seems more likely is its a marketing tool, or you could call it a lie/scam, to constantly give an empty promise for an engine upgrade just to hold on to the few players they have left..
The worst part, the engine upgrade is merely taking the game from Unreal 3 to Unreal 3.5. Visually, the games not going to change much. Epic's got Unreal 5 out already, a whole different beast from 3 was. Just seems like a whole lot of time (years) and effort for not a whole lot of benefit.
