what's the point of having tall characters?
you only get a bigger hitbox and most of the time your head goes out of the cover...

and the best part is that when your gun is over the cover you still shoot at the wall why the ♥♥♥♥ is this a thing?

Everybody has the same hitbox(one big box) to keep things fair.

Yep what Tokley said. Everyone has the exact same hitbox regardless of how your character looks. It's done to make sure short characters don't get some crazy advantages.

Other than the fact that your character looks taller, there isn’t really much of a point

you are more visible though. Hitboxes are the same but visibility might be a thing.

you can try shoot people to over their head. Usually your shots lands because hitbox is larger than actual character. Its handy to know this cause, many times cover that enemy has is not enough for her/him. Many people do use average or short characters.

I have noticed my rather small character has trouble seeing over the railings on the towers map. Making it less than ideal to use, but over all like others have stated no real difference.

I have noticed the height of a character can effect the capabilities of what you can shoot over, had a shorter enforcer character and every shot was connecting with the top of my vegas and then i increased it to what my criminal was and i could shoot over it in normal stance.

That's the only effect that height has i believe.

Even if the Hitbox is the same for everyone, having a smaller character allows you to be hidden behind certain places, even if you can be touched, you are not seen.

Any experienced player scans the ledge of cover where enemies are likely to hide. When the crosshair turns red they shoot and there we go, visual advantage is gone. IMO the advantage you get from taking a few seconds longer to be spotted is not worth the trade off of not being sure if you are actually in cover, which is why I tend to pick pretty tall characters.
